anyone vouch for these? I heard one of their pairs maybe two years ago, wasn't super impressed though obviously this is a more recent model
I got these and they are amazing for the price. Works well with consoles, pc and phone. USB + 3.5 aux is quite handy. Discord certified and sounds crisp on mic, not mind blowing but way good for the price. Build quality is considerably superior to Chinese knockouts.

I can vouch for them. The problems I see with these are that they have a tight squeeze on the head which might get uncomfortable after a few hours. The mic output can be a little too quiet. As for the sound quality, it is pretty decent, the problem with these is that the sound can bleed out of the headphones if you turn the volume up too high giving away your privacy. All in all, I don't see these as deal breakers and would say that these are good headphones for the price.
OP, why did you create a separate post for this deal on Corsair.com when you could've just suggested it to be added as another source to this post from earlier? (linked below)

Pros:
Detachable mic
Discord certified.
Cons:
Ear pads are decent but not great.
No rgb.
Do these really have 7+1=8 speakers for each ear? Or is it just stereo like all other headphones?

The surround sound feature is a gimmick. I haven't personally tried it out but from what I have read, it is a virtual experience so the 7.1 is obtained through software. There's only 1 speaker in each ear. Most people just use the normal stereo settings and it works fine that way.

don't listen to these peeps hating on virtual surround. They' probably cheaped out and made a dumb purchase on some crap ones on ebay or amazon. Some of the best headphones use virtual surround sound (see astro a40). Unless you wanna drop 250-500 dollars, you're not going to get a good quality true surround headset. It's because it's more speakers, so they usually cheap out on the kind of speakers they use (or charge more). These just sound great. Mostly any headset you see fore 150 or less with surround sound is going to be virtual surround sound (as the title suggests) I had a pair that served me well for a year before I upgraded. They're still great though so I kept em.

Nope they don't. It's all virtual surround experience which are sub par and you will hate yourself if you listen to them for too long.
