I take it this would be overkill if I was just looking for some good lighting options and flexibility for zoom meetings (and some online video stuff, like interviews or speaking on panels at conferences)? I've been using 2-3 of those taotronic led lamps that have gone on sale a lot recently and they work pretty well. But I'm willing to spend some for a next level up. But if these are more for pro-levels photog work then nvm ; )

These aren't anywhere near pro levels, because the color accuracy fluctuates as you go brighter/dimmer a lot compared to the expensive units, as well as build quality. I've used these before for a few modeling photography shoots and they do a fine job for the money!

But for static images or even video they are fine so long as you white balance, color correct and most importantly, use a diffuser setup to soften the light Smilie

If you don't like them after awhile, people are always buying/selling these on craigslist or facebook marketplace

Are there even any LED lights that on pro level? LED lights are very notorious for bad CRI only after fluorescent lights. Also these lights mention CRI 93% I wonder at what color temperature and brightness.

What's your recommendation for a diffuser setup? I am not sure whether to get softboxes or LED lights for my YouTube/podcast setup. Thanks!

Pros could easly use these for professional work, both video and photography. They are not the most robust devices, but the quality of light is easily usable at a professional level.

If you have a multi-million dollar budget then you would be using something else, but there are tons of professionals that use these lights (and even lesser quality lights).

Only an amature would't be able to get good quality results with these.

I'm not sure how a pro would make a red look red when the low CRI light is making it look hot pink.

I'm seeing listings for an updated version of the Neewer 660 that appear to be black instead of silver. Does that mean these are the older ones? I'm curious how much better the updated ones are if that's the case.

Edit: Looking again, maybe the black ones don't have wireless features? If someone could confirm, that would be great!
