So I make some skin care products as a side gig and you can't make colloidal oats by grinding up oatmeal or using oat flour. Not sure if that is what you tried doing, but on the other forums I visit, I see lots of people try to make it that way. Here is the difference explained [lisaliseblog.com] .

This is about half price compared to when I last bought some in a brick & mortar store. I hate paying for pureed oatmeal but it seems to work better than when I puree it myself, and it works well on my kiddos' skin.

Fascinating! Thanks!

That was indeed my attempt. I don't really care if it's colloidal or just very finely ground, as both seem to work well enough for soothing purposes. Grinding left me with a larger mess in the bath rather than most of it going down the drain with the water.

FYI, one packet of this is half of the normal one, so you have to use two to get the same effect.

Looks like the adult one may be better value (cheaper per oz?)

A bit confusing with "pack" and "counts" and the Adult one says 1.5 oz each and the Baby one shows total weight 7.5 oz (so half the size like Hanasuki said above)
