If these fit your face well, then they are worth every penny. That's the biggest problem with these type of masks for those who want the ultimate protection, if it doesn't form an airtight seal then it's not worth the expenditure. Costco seems to accept returns on these, so might be worth trying out the fit if you need this type of protection.

I did it. Here in Florida the governor has opened everything up and I think with n95s it's the only way I can feel comfortable with me and my family moving on with life. Thanks OP.

I agree than NIOSH certified N95 is the way to go. They are tested for filtration efficiency so as long as they fit, they are significantly preventing inhaling the covid virus. All the homemade, gauze etc masks help reduce virus inhalation/exhalation but their effectiveness is hit and miss and generally pale in comparison. They generally dont filter out small particles (like viruses) and they generally don't fit well so unfiltered air leaks around them. Any mask is helpful but N95 is most effective. Since N95 filtering requires some breathing effort to force air through the masks fine pores, all N95 masks have straps to go around your head to hold it in place. The straps are initially sized to fit small heads so you must pre stretch them to fit your head instead of just putting it on. If we all wore N95 in public for a few weeks, transmission would be greatly reduced.

I went for 3M N95 masks and stayed away from anything China made when it comes to protecting my health.

I have read too way too many horror stories about certification fraud with factories in China so when at all possible, I stay away from China made medical, food and other health related items.

If you look hard enough 3M masks are starting to become available again and for the price they are charging for these masks, going with 3M masks is a no brainer.
Where can I find 3m masks, haven't seen them anywhere yet.

Can you get 3M masks anywhere online and if so, are they more expensive than these?

Grainger has a lot of options for N95 now and they are cheaper than Costco.
I was able to purchase and pickup the masks made by Moldex. (No more order cancellations)

Are these websites genuine? AFAIK, cost of a set of 3 3M 8210 N95 masks before pandemic was between $8-$10.
https://www.envirosafetyproducts....rator.html is selling these for $20 for 20 count. Fishy!

3M 9502+ (headband for better seal vs earloop) is the way to go for legit 3M at lower prices. You can search eBay for "3M 9502+ 50" for the 50-pack. Only downside is you can't return it if you don't like them for some reason.

If you look hard enough masks from 3M, Honeywell and other major US manufacturers can be found online. For the price they are charging for these Made in China marks, going instead for product made by a reputable US company is a no brainer.
I haven't found any 3M not made in China, where were yours made? I know they make some domestically but only a fraction of what they crank out.

Honeywell is made overseas too but not China, I've missed out on any I've tried to get to date but I'm still at it.

Envirosafety Products has been in business for a long time and is a big company with many distribution centers so I absolutely trust all the products they sell.

Where does it say these are made in China?
