Also look at the Libby app for you phone, you can borrow audiobooks from your local library. Its amazing and has made audible a thing of the past for me. The main downside is that it doesn't allow offline listening but it's not a huge deal with a decent data plan.

And then you will only get about 10% of the audiobooks so you won't have to worry about having too many to listen to.

Your math doesn't make sense...you are paying 22.95 for 2 credits a month(the 3 credits for $30 is there for both plans). Instead, you could get 12 credits for $99(and do it multiple times per year, since if you cancel and renew you get it each time).

So you will pay more per book either way, plus get the same 3 credits for $30 deal. This deal is better in every way.

Otherwise for regular premium subscription they give you 2 credits every month. But in this case they give you only 12 credits upfront instead of 24 yearly but monthly based. Am I missing something??

Monthly 2 credit plan is now $22.95/mo.

If I'm a current member, can I use all my credits, then cancel and sign up for this?

My premium plus account expires in 2 weeks. I have no credits left. Can I cancel and get this deal? I can't see the deal detail because when I follow the link, it just goes to my account.

Wondering if I can enroll in the Prime 30-day trial, get my 2 free credits, and then cancel the trial and purchase the 1-year bundle of credits.

If that works, you end up with 14 credits for $99.50, about $7.10 per audiobook, which is a steal.

For someone like me who goes through quite a few audiobooks a year, this isn't much of a deal. For someone who is a casual listener, great deal.

Personally, I just keep my 2 a month plan with buying 3 credits on occasion for $33 or so, when I need more.

I'm in the same boat and was thinking the same thing. You are closer to your subscription ending though. I guess ultimately you don't have anything to lose. If you cancel and renew it might apply the offer but if it doesn't your renewal will be the same price as if you didn't cancel.

It has always allowed to use up all credits, cancel and get this deal(have done it about 5 times in the last 18 months or so).

Libby Is great, but in our city, where usage of the library's digital offering is high, it can be a 6+ month wait for popular audio books, like the Harry Potter series, for example.
