"While they last?" .... lol... Who buys this overpriced crap? ... IMO, that money would be better spent towards a decent miter saw that does same and a lot more.

But, if you just have to have one, they are $160 on eBay. [ebay.com]... was $120 in August, or some widow is probably selling one for $25 at your local yard sale.
This is very accurate and with a decent quality table saw will provide a much better cut than a miter saw. It'll match or beat any standard miter saw for precision, will blow away sliders, and allows for higher cut capacity.

The only times I would recommend a miter saw over a table saw with a precision miter gauge would be if the piece is too long to handle on a table saw.

Spoken like a cabinet maker or fine wood craftsman with the eye of a machinist.

BS, Jeff.... buy a decent miter saw. Then again, I am not chasing affiliate commissions and live in the real world.

Meanwhile, $160 DELIVERED on eBay if you just have to have one.
I have 3 different miter saws (DeWalt, Ridgid, Delta) and a nice table saw with an Incra gauge. The table saw with Incra gauge is my first choice for the most accurate cuts.

But this requires a decent quality table saw. Without that, this gauge would be little improvement over a miter saw other than allowing for higher cut capacity.

Not sure what the "affiliate commission and living in the real world" crap is all about. Maybe you should stick to talking about tools instead of making up stuff about me.

Close, not a machinist but a mechanical engineer.

I was once a machinist but retired as a manufacturing engineer.

Using a miter saw over this with a nicely tuned table saw for accuracy as the other person stated is pretty funny.

This is a very nicely machined product, I've used the Kreg, Jessem, Incra, nicer bangg version, and a couple of others with only the Jessem being in the same tier. The sale price isn't much though, this goes on sale cheaper throughout the year and a few vendors on eBay stock it for around $160 shipped often enough, I missed on that earlier this month as I'm looking to upgrade from my Kreg but if you had it on your list anyway this is better than retail.

And with a lot of money, and/or lacking the ability to make their own sliding accessories.
Possibly with the ability to correctly spell Gauge.

It's great tool for precision cuts. But this is a relative normal price. I brought it around this as well. It never go on sale below $150.

Angled tenons is an example where you would want this vs a miter saw.

Homemade sliding jigs serve a purpose but they cannot duplicate the versatility of a precision miter gauge.
