I own this but I would recommend the 2060 OC version over this because of thermal throttling.
I repasted both 2070 and 2060 version and lower the voltage by 125 and I noticed that 2060 thermal throttles less and ran cooler and faster than the 2070 version.
The results did not seem right so, I actually tried 4 different 2070 and they were the same. I ended up with a good deal on a 2070 32gb ddr4 with 1tb ssd but they started using inferior parts some time between 3/2020 to now. Used to come with samsung rams and ssd before Mar 2020 now it has hyunix ddr4 and micron ssd.
They also cheap out on heat sinks for the m.2 and 2½ drive bay and sata cable by providing you with only what it was configured with. You will have to have your own screw for the second m.2 slot, not sure you can still call alienware a premium brand.

BTW, I talked to an agent and they said the drive is NVMe, although it doesn't indicate NVMe on the product page.
Really easy, if it is the R1
