I have a theory this has not happened because Chinese wealth only ramped up in the 90s so nobody there has any records, and therefore pump out record players as novelty items. When I was in China in the late 80s all music was on cassettes.

1. The stylus needle's heavy tracking force will dig DEEP (literally) onto your records, thus permanently ruining them.
2. They have horrible output sound quality from the tiny speakers.
3. They are cheaply made, mostly plastic. Bad vibrations!
3. They do not have consistent speed and your listening experience is ruined.
Spend at least $100, if you're on a tight budget.
