ADVISORY: DO NOT CALL THE STORE BEFORE HEADING THERE
The Target app or the website does NOT display the clearance price.

Those of you who had missed the $59 Walmart deal might wanna go for this one.

BrickSeek inventory link:
https://brickseek.com/target-inve...80-06-0015

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Moto G7 Play has Android 10, Gorilla Glass, and is water repellent.
It only has 32 GB internal space, and can support a microSD card upto 512 GB, but you're probably gonna use the cloud anyway.
Motorola website product info: https://www.motorola.com/us/smart...-g7-play/p

$59.99 is currently the best price for getting a new unlocked one right now. You do NOT need to sign up for a wireless plan if you buy this unlocked phone at Target.

BrickSeek showed lots of availability near me for an incredible price!
4 Target stores within an 8 miles radius.
It turned out to be correct!
I got the last two phones at my nearest Target, and still 3 other Target stores have them.
I used a Citi credit card to get two years additional warranty, although I'll probably return one of them, and use the other one to create & flash custom ROMs.
But it's a good budget phone, and a good backup phone!

Brickseek showed in stock in 3 targets around me (still shows available), but none of them had it.. it used to be accurate for availability, but I guess it's not anymore.

I don't understand. It should be under warranty. Motorola would give you a replacement right away if you pay a small amount plus a refundable fee. Otherwise, it'd give you a prepaid shipping label to mail the device to it, and will send you the repaired/replacement device after the repair would be complete.

Target has a 14-day return window for phones, so I'm not surprised that they didn't accept your return.

Addendum: I'm not sure why Motorola wouldn't repair it, but if you purchased it using a card that offers Purchase Protection, then you can file a claim with your card issuer even if you accidentally damaged the phone.

I'm guessing the store staff have them because after I bought them at my nearest Target store, the inventory stock on BrickSeek got updated to Out of stock for that store. This means Brickseek updates Target inventory quite frequently.

I'll use it to flash custom ROMs. I primarily use Google Pixel 4XL.

What is the model number i.e which variant?

Let us know if the bootloader is locked. Motorola usually is Frown

I'm guessing that's why resellers around me didn't grab all of them.

Right, Several resellers would have understood by now how difficult it is to flip these phones after they bought from Walmart..

I checked & the bootloader is unlocked.
The model number is XT1952-4.

In my experience, Motorola's bootloader is always unlocked, unless you get it from a carrier (except Google Fi). I've an unlocked Moto G Stylus (Google Fi $149 offer, but with an unlocked bootloader), Moto Z3 Play (purchased directly from Motorola), Moto Z2 Play (purchased directly from Motorola), Moto G6 (purchased from Google Fi), Moto X4 (purchased from BH Photo & Video, but is on the Google Fi SW channel).
Only my Moto Z4 has a locked bootloader because I got it from Verizon ($120 Best Buy deal).
