From the back of the device, it looks like BNC connections

No PoE. This system uses coax with BNC connectors.

Includes: 6× 60ft/18m UL/CM-Rated In-Wall Cables

Lol I almost fell off my chair when I saw lorex and costco for 299 but then I saw no POE! Sucks but damn good deal though if someone already has BNC wiring in place and just want to upgrade to 4k cameras.

I was aware of this deal on Sept 24, but realized that it's BNC connection; not gonna work for my cat5/cat6e wired home.

FYI - remember many DVR analog BNC kits have more affordable components and thus less performant than pricier IP PoE kits ( such as with fps.. alert processing.. )

Video Frame Rate: 7 Frame per Second. Is it good or bad quality? I see most of wifi cameras are at least 15 fps.

horrible. i already dislike 15 fps and reason for going wired is to get superior hardware that does 30fps 4k

Well, that's true for the camera, but not for the DVR.

The DVR records at 7 fps.

Lorex webpage on this
https://www.lorextechnology.com/s...28D6-E-0-p

Camera spec sheet
https://www.lorextechnology.com/d...ecs_R1.pdf

Video Transmission
Technology
Analog HD
Image Sensor 8MP/4K 1/2.7" CMOS
Video Format NTSC
Optical
Viewing Angle
(Horizontal)
105°
Lens/Lens type 2.8mm F2.0/ Fixed
Video Output
Resolution/Frame rate 4K (8MP)@ 15fps
Effective Pixels H:3840 x V:2160
Termination BNC

Clearly DVR is not well matched for the Cameras imho DVR should be better so it can handle the "4K" 15fps from the cameras

Hi Matt,
Considering replacing my old Samsung 720P camera system that the previous owner of the house installed. Two story home with all the BNC wiring in place. Will the current bnc wiring work ok with this? There is no marking or labeling to indicate what kind of bnc wire it is.
