Ring had some major failures in past Halloweens... so, Ring really isn't all that.

Ring has a number of issues, for example:

This is complete failure too, never gotten motion detection to work. It's a really common issue.

Hi TheJerm

I do not think any of the wifi video doorbell products work successfully enough due to numerous issues, including many of us with outer walls which hamper the wifi signal ( wire mesh and stucco, foil house wrap, bricks,.. etc .. )

I believe the proper route is a good POE intercom along with enough cameras covering the porch with security alarm sensors... get's more complex than most are willing to do imho.

Most people want easy buy this, and problem is solved.
