The following condition "Only one Netflix offer may be redeemed per Netflix account" has been removed from the T & C and it may or may not still apply
Netflix code provides a $77.94 credit. This covers 6 mos of their basic 2-screen streaming plan. If you have a more expensive plan (e.g. 4K), it will take $77.94 off the total cost, which will be less than 6 months.
Netflix promo code expires 03/01/2022
Currently (Oct 13, 2020, midnight Eastern Time) the white ships in early November, the blue and pink will arrive around Christmas.
Note: they are limiting accounts to one order of each color. If you decide to cancel one of them, you cannot go back and reorder the same color using the same account.
Apparently Google sent me the wrong SKU. I received GA01919-US, which is not the promotional SKU.
There's a "With 6 months of Netflix" sticker right above the SKU sticker.
"Offer applies only to the following SKUs while supplies last and subject to availability: GA02764-US, GA02765-US, GA02766-US. Limit 3 per customer / Google Account."
After contacting Google support, the next day the credit appeared in my Google Home app.

Essentially, the Netflix credit can be applied to any account, new or existing of any type. The credit accounts for the standard plan for 6 months, totaling $77. It will account for less than 6 months if you have a higher plan (just doing the math). The credit can only be applied once to an account, so there's limited benefit to trying to "game" this deal.
If you have Netflix already or want Netflix, this essentially gets you the new Chromecast for $12, which is a great option. Just get one and enjoy 😁. Hope this helps!
EDIT: Updated with original post link and clarified thr "standard" plan. Thanks!
Is my math wrong? Or does that mean I can essentially get 6 months of Netflix for just $40? (a savings of $37) All I have to do is to activate the free 6-month Netflix and then return the Chromecast device)
The game changer for the new Chromecast is the simple, but perfect remote. It is the first non-official universal remote that works my TV (including input button) and soundbar. Even though it's almost identical, it blows away the Roku remote.
BTW even though it's a little more per month, I feel FuboTV is better than YTTV. Trust me, I tried them all and although YTTV was a close second, FuboTV has quite a few more channels (e.g., A&E, History etc.) and their sports channels can't be touched.

It doesn't sounds like this can technically replace my 1st gen Nvidia Shield, but for ~$15 after prepaying the 6 months of Netflix we would be buying anyway, why not try it out!

for example, my grandma shares my Netflix account. can I have the 2nd Chromecast shipped to her. Let her set it up using her own Google acct, but have the 2nd free 6-month of Netflix be credited to my Netflix acct. (one where I already applied the 1st free 6-month on the 1st Chromecast under the same deal)
thanks!
