Not a bad deal just like$40 more than the recent Bloomingdale's deal, but not sure if anyone's has shipped. Mine is still backordered until October 12, don't have much faith it'll ship on time
I have the regular Ooni. It has a steep learning curve. I have been trying to return it because I just cant master it and end up with a burnt pizza each time. I have tried using it more than 15 times. Maybe its me because their reviews are great.
However, the return process has been a nightmare. They only communicate via email and respond to issues after a week. They said they would not honor the return since there is no problem with the oven itself. Their return promise simply states that if despite my best efforts to try to bake the pizza the way they described and you cant figure it, they would accept a return. After 2 months pf back and forth and finally copy-pasting their return policy they said they would send a return shipping label.
I get a better pizza using a pizza stone that is plenty good and easier to use. If you have the time and patience to give Ooni a shot: good luck, I hope you like it. But their return process is a nightmare.

Just ordered. Along with the cover and turning peel. Added savings on those would get you little closer in terms of value. Don't think your could get those accessories on sale during the Bloomingdale's sale.
Thanks for the heads-up, OP! I ordered a Koda directly from Ooni back in July and currently have an "early November" shipping window on it. Went ahead and ordered a Koda 16 from Zola now. We'll see which one shows up first!

Pretty crappy reason to return an item.

How is it a crappy reason if their own policy supports returning the item simply if you "change your mind" (oonis words).
I imagine most returns would relate to performance reasons, not defects, being that it's a steel box.
Just because their PR team put flowery words in there doesn't mean its not a crappy reason. The only reason to return an item is because their is a defect, poor quality, or misleading claims. Returning because you found a better price, you changed your mind, or simply because you sucked at making pizza isn't the manufactures fault.

I didn't realize there was an individual on the internet that dictated a universal return policy for all businesses on the planet. Good to know.

They have a return policy that explicitly states I can return it if I don't like it. Maybe the PR team shouldn't include claims that they cant stick to. May be you are better at making pizzas and don't need much time to hone your skills. I don't and I chose to return it. I posted my comment so it may help someone considering it. A pizza oven is not a necessity and maybe someone will be intrigued just like I was and I wanted to let them know what the return process was like.
