Nice to see this coming down in price! I'm still torn between this or saving the 1k and getting the 900H instead.

What did you initially offer?
You've seen offers for the 85" X900H at around $2.1k? I would totally bite on the X900H for that price.

Sorry! I was off by a 150-200 but it's coming down. Hoping to see 2k for the 900h soon

On mobile at the moment but I believe it was also a 900H Greentoe deal that was posted. I'm hoping we get some kind of drop for Prime Day

Nothing on the 85 that I've seen. 75 isn't bad!

Looking for an 85". I may still consider biting on the 950H instead of the 900H. I'm still not sold that there's a 1K difference in picture quality and the lack of HDMI 2.1 is till making me mad since I have a receiver with HDMI 2.1 and will eventually have other HDMI 2.1 devices.

Decisions.

Fools.

Btw i got my 75x940e for $1000 delivered 2years ago. THAT was a slickest deal and it still triumphs over H and G series today in HDR n DV peak nits

I hear ya. If youre planning on gaming I can see your hesitation. If its only for home theatre use, 2.1 wont matter much.

That's the kicker. Near term I would just be using it for movies/tv but I know my kid is going to want one of the new gaming systems at some point when they are readily available.

I'm sure I'm overthinking it regardless. The Sammy 90t or 80t are also options but obviously cost more than the 950 or 900 comparatively.

If the new game systems can hit 60 fps @4k, ill be impressed. Beyond that, I'd likely need an rtx 3080. So unless you were going to use a high end gaming pc with your TV, I think 2.1 is mostly hype.

That's a good point. Do you think not having VRR and ALLM will make much of a difference? EDIT: actually nm, it looks like HDMI 2.0b supports those along with eARC if i'm reading the info correctly!
