Same. Waiting on 2k for the 900h.
If that's your price point, you can always make an offer at Greentoe. I think that's a good target but I'm not sure it will hit that once the next gen consoles drop. I could see the prices going up again depending on their implementation of HDMI 2.1 and whether it has bugs/issues.

I've been stuck on HDMI 2.1 but I think I'm starting to talk myself out of it now based on the offerings in the 85inch range. The Vizio would be an interesting candidate but that release date seems to be unknown and it's been reported to be buggy as hell.

That's a good point. Do you think not having VRR and ALLM will make much of a difference? EDIT: actually nm, it looks like HDMI 2.0b supports those along with eARC if i'm reading the info correctly!
Exactly. Once I broke down all the real implications of having 2.0 vs 2.1 with a TV thats going to be 99 to 100% media/movies (my C9 Oled handles game duty), the lack of 2.1 made zero difference. If my situation were any different, the 2.1 would become important.

My 950 isn't here yet, so I'm hoping that punchy bright HDR in Dolby Vision is worth the lack of 2.1!

I have a C9 as well but there's no chance I'd let my kids game on it long term. It's going to be moved and replaced with whatever 85" TV I end up getting.

If we don't go with 900h which one should we do with? I'd love to have the q80t but don't want to pay 3k.

Then you really don't have a better option as far as performance, features, size and price is concerned. The 900H hits that mark. I just wish we didn't have to guess (Winter is technically 4 months) when Sony is passing along that HDMI 2.1 firmware update.

Right, I'm just wondering if I could get away with the lgun8500 or the Samsung 8 series qn8500

I am hoping that sony will drop the price in November which means that the retailers on greentoe should drop the price also. On the 85" counteroffer on still getting 3195.

On the 75" the counter offer was about $2200 now it has gone up to $2600....weird

I have the 85 inch 850G for $1400+tax from Costco deal... so far I'm not too happy on picture quality / contrast and blacks vs my old Samsung 65 inch ks8000. Is the 950H worth the upgrade from 850G for slightly more than 2x the cost?

That's what I was afraid of. I was tempted to buy the Costco deal but now holding ojt hope for $2000 900h or a $2700 Samsung q80t

I have not received a counter offer on the 75 or 85" x950h in 2 days....its weird. Normally I was getting a counter offer within a couple hours, now I cant get one and I've submitted several in the past 2 days. Anyone else? Anyone know what this means? I've got a counter offer on the 75 and 85 about to expire and not sure if I should accept or wait a little closer to November. Best buy just dropped their price (which means sony dropped theirs) so I was hoping that greentoe retailers would drop theirs also. But I cant get a counter offer back. I'm not sure what to make of it. Any thoughts?

That is weird. The last two times (including the last one when I bought this tv), I had the counter back the next day. Maybe retailers are unclear how long Sony will have these sale prices good for. Greentoe retailers would likely benefit from holding off until the sale ends 💁

Yea. I'm not sure what to do as I'm trying to buy both the 75 and the 85. Thinking the price should be dropping since its dropped on amazon and best buy, but I'm not getting any new counter offers from greentoe retailers. I've got offers ready to expire tomorrow, so not sure if I should accept current offers since I'm not getting any new ones, but will regret it if price is likely to drop in a day or two
