I reloaded 40$ and didn't see anything after applying code...then i reloaded 40$ again looking to see if the 10$ confirmation somebody mentioned earlier...didnt think the reload happened with just 1 click without confirmation...oops......feeling like i got hard scammed on this one lmao.

I didnt see apply code when trying to reload so i didnt pull the trigger.

When trying to send myself the $40gc via email, the code was accepted. But i didnt see any changes or if there was any mention of the $10 being credited.

Can anyone share whats the correct action for this?

Already annoying start.... 1. it needs a promo code, so apparently won't really work with reloading balance. 2. you get the credit 2 days later so can't even use it during prime day.
Quote from PassiveX :
clipped the coupon and reloaded $50 using amex (extra $10 off) but don't see the amazon $10 extra credit mentioned anywhere on the order. is this normal?
Quote from kensteele :
reload probably doesn't work because when I tried again with egc, I still get the promo msg.
Quote from Zelo :
DO NOT RELOAD even if it suggests it.
...
I sent myself an egift card for $40 to my main email address and it worked, just remember do not select reload!
Quote from tayninh :
Hope so. I'm debating to pull the trigger and order then 2nd one since it clearly shows there'll be credit, which the reload option didn't show earlier.
Quote from BiG DoGN12 :
When I try to order a second gift card it also shows I'll be getting the credit. I think it's just glitched currently.
To all of the above: apparently, reload works (I clicked button, then Reload at bottom), but Amazon just botched it by not giving any confirmation message and continuing to display incorrect promo details even after you already triggered it. According to a CS agent I spoke to, although you see the promo notices while purchasing an electronic GC after reloading, this does nothing in their system after your initial reload/GC. Here's what I added to the Wiki:
Quote from Wiki :
NOTE: You will NOT see the $10 promotional credit from this deal here (or anywhere on your account), but it "will automatically apply the next time you order an eligible item sold and shipped by Amazon.com..." (this is directly from a conversation I had with Customer Service, followed by the typical jargon). I did not see anything after I reloaded, nor did I receive a confirmation email, but he guaranteed that he can see it on his end and that the $10 will apply to my next qualifying purchase.
This is what I see when I attempt to purchase an item sold and shipped by Amazon.com:
Quote :
Items: $99.99
Shipping & handling: $0.00
Discover Promo: -$10.00
Prime Savings: -$10.00
Keep in mind that you can only use one Prime Day saving at a time, and they will go by order of expiration (confirmed by CS agent). So the Discover Promo ($10 off 50 when you use any Discover Cashback Bonus Points) stacks if you have it, but multiple Prime Day ones apparently will not.

Just sharing my experience and information from two different CS agents, in case it helps anyone. Document everything and you'll have nothing to worry about!

it's so ridiculous that they won't count them all on one purchase. I am pretty sure they sued to allow you to.

I was going to buy a $300 item and use $40 in credits, but now $15 of the $40 won't be usable. I'd just have to get other items later and count tin my mind as having come off ot the big purchase...

Also, I thought about buying a 970 pro at 5% discount, then realized it's not even sold by amazon.... so could get that cheaper on ebay rather than waste more money on amazon for a third party.

Anyway I can confirm that it won't let you use multiple amazon credits even if some AREN'T from prime day.... I just got a $5 one for clicking "read for free" on a book, but it's not showing up on the checkout page, which is where I also look to see which credits are there.

Btw I sent myself a $40 gc rather than fooling with reloading. Hopefully it worked. On the checkout page it said "prime day promotion" or something like that right below the place order button, so I assume it worked.

At least the $20 back for $100 gift card purchase via amex was for amex credits, so didn't have to buy more items for those...

I can't even decide what to buy, though. They don't have a lot I want on great deals...

Offer has a limit of one Amazon.com promotional credit per Prime account.
Be careful when trying to reload and then purchase egift for two $10 credits, they'll only issue one as it states in the terms and conditions

$50 gift card code instantly. $10 credit says that it will take 2 days. It might take less, but who knows.

Yeah, it's probably going to be a subtle append to our accounts.

Does it take a while for recipient to receive the GC?

Although the purchase is showing on my "Orders" page, the recipient has not received the GC(email) and I have not received an order confirmation email?

Ok, nevermind. Recipient received although I still didn't get order confirmation email, yet.

Thanks.

It does not work with reload. I reloaded $40, did not see the $10 credit.
