I agree. This system is awesome. Have it running since last November. Don't get hung up on the Atmos part. It delivers truly immersive sound. I have the 9.2.4 system. It also plays well with the CEC on my Sony X900f, Fire Cube and Nvidia Shield. TV and soundbar both come on as soon as I press the Fire or Nvidia remote and they control the volume.

These comments are definitely shills or people who've never had a sound system pre-soundbar days.
Soundbars have their place, but a $1200 system is not it. Doesn't matter what brand it is.
There's a reason Dolby specifies distinct channels, going back to Dolby stereo all the way up to Atmos: Speaker positioning matters (which is also why every "fake" Atmos setup with upfiring speakers is a gimmick, unless your ceiling is perfectly flat and low enough for the reverb).
A decently sized 3 channel setup (L, R, C) will always provide better spatialization than a soundbar. Add rear channels and it's no contest.

When it comes to home audio the price points are wide ranging. But in this case, I would highly consider this system with all that you get. But like anything, you just have to hear it for yourself and let your ears and wallet decide.
