$299.99 - Top rated Air Purifier at Costco

One of the highest rated air purifier is currently at a significantly lower price at Costco. Surprisingly, not marked as a deal, yet the price is much lower than competing retailers.

Price at amazon and other retailer is around $430, so a $130 discount from other retailers.

Excellent price for a retailer with a generous policy, makes it a no-brainer if you are looking for a robust, highly rated air purifier. Makes for a much cleaner indoor air quality in this age of Covid.

Good air purifiers are "Out of Stock" at most places. Due to the fire situation in the West, folks realized how important they are. Also, with the air transmission of Covid established, folks are waking up to the importance of having an in-room air purifier. This just being in stock is a deal, so at nearly $130 less, that too from Costco, makes it quite compelling.

The reviews at ConsumerReports, Target, BestBuy and Costco are stellar.

I have been using it for a week in an open plan room with high vaulted ceilings and can feel the difference.

Suggestion...
Brand/model might be good?
It's not in the title nor the entire post.

Replacement filters are $100, seems pricey. Thoughts on this versus the Winix c545?

I bought this one a couple of months ago because of the California wildfires and it's really quite excellent. Very quiet on the lowest setting and one of the few models that's large enough to deal with an open plan living space.

Most of the other ones I looked at we're only really appropriate for a bedroom or other small room but this one does a really good job of filtering all the air in our combined living dining kitchen area.

The only downside is that it is a fairly large unit, around the same side as a dorm mini fridge.

Winix units are pushed a lot on Woot. Don't have anything concrete to compare it to but I own the Blueair 211 which is the smaller version of this. I enjoy it, makes a huge difference and you feel the circulation even in a moderately large room.

I agree, filters are pricey but they are very effective and are rated assuming 24/7 operation at max speed which I don't do. Instead I vacuum the prefilter which gets dusty and then under/inside the unit.

The price of the 121 appears to be current sale price at Costco. They were selling it back in August for this price and will probably do so again during the holidays.

The CADR is ~400 CFM vs Winix at ~250 CFM but filters for the Winix are a lot cheaper and the unit is smaller and cheaper too. Your call.

In for one. My second Blueair 121. Quiet on the lowest setting and moves a lot of air through the filters. Filters last forever and are massive and a good value. You can get the filters even cheaper if you subscribe to a delivery plan via BlueAir.

Or three if you go with the refurbs when in stock for $90, like I did. Got 5 @ $450 total for my 3000 sq ft house and my lifetime of allergies are so grateful.

We have two Blueair 403's ($439) and one Winix C535 ($139). The Winix is far superior despite being a lot cheaper. The Blueair is good at providing background noise in your bedroom to fall asleep to but doesn't do the best job at filtering the air. The Blueair is better than nothing, but those Winix's are what you want for really clean air.
