I was waiting for these to come back in stock anywhere, as they have been notoriously difficult to find. Note that this is the version that DOES support Google Voice, but only has one phone port. Eligible for Amazon Prime.

I was about to say, not a good price, but I see it has a premium for aviability. I did not consider work-from-home stock depletion.

I've owned six of these with one spare (White and Brown ones). Not had a failure yet. Looks like I paid upper $30s for most of them.

If you search, there are a ton of old threads with a wealth of information in them. A lot of filtering and reading though.

How does this compare to the Ooma HERE [amazon.com]?
Aside from being completely free, instead of nearly free?

I had Ooma service for about 10 years. When I went to cancel it, the cancellation rep refused to let me cancel my service unless I resold my Ooma device to someone else. So I put it on eBay and sold it to someone who put it back into service. I hated being treated that way as a 10-year customer, so I don't recommend the service to anyone anymore.

Since Polycomm aquired Obihai in 2018, this hasn't been under $50. Corporate merger up sells the product with no real new value. Just an old voip box with a new logo

But you're right it was $39 by.default, and during specials amazon, newegg etc had them for $29. I have both the Obi100 (all white but firmware no longer supported by Google voice) and Obi200 (white and brown)

I have had Ooma for over 10 (11?) years, just missed the lifetime price by a week.

That said, I have 2 numbers and this OBI looks like I need 2 boxes? The ones I have found for up to 4 don't work with Google Voice.

My only gripe with Ooma is I found out the hard way that they do not bounce text messages. They just disappear. This cost me a large job! And who knows how many small ones.

As a one man service business, will OBI replace Ooma and 2 former landline numbers?

I had Ooma before google voice and it sucked. I paid a one time fee of $20 to port my home phone into google voice and pay a yearly 911 fee of $3. Thats it. Occasionally i have to reboot the box to get my phone to ring right but other than that this thing is gold. Im thinking of buying a spare just in case.

Get them while you can, it's been rough to find these and I'm not even sure if Poly still is going to be manufacturing these. Yeesh.

Yeah I was thinking the same, but it makes sense that it is in low stock these days. Pretty worthwhile investment.

there are other more dependable cheap options for business voip. obi's have some odd habits like occasionally disconnecting calls in the middle of them. etc

Look into Anveo. Extremely cheap biz VoIP service. Has IVR and everything.
