Price dropped this morning on Amazon for the Samsung 860 EVO SSD, and they have a 10% cash back when using the Amazon prime store card, potential cost after CB is $103.49, YMMV as you need Prime store card.

QA Note: Looks like the Amazon store card is back to the normal 5%.

It won't let me edit my OP - this is just about $7 over previous record low according to the 3 wise camels without the cash back, so it is a good deal for those who can't get the cash back from the amazon card. Also $5 over the lower tiered QVO 1 TB SSD, definitely worth the $5 for the upgrade.

Meh, next year 1tb needs to drop about 50% in the $50 range. With 8tb density ramping up there is room to make 2tb entry level vs economy.

What is the Amazon Prime store card? Is it like applying for a credit card?

Even 2TB with 25% back for Prime Credit Card holders is an excellent deal.

Newegg is also selling them for $115. I don't think folks have extra Samsung warranty issues with Newegg purchases as they do with some Amazon vendors.

I was never able to save enough with Prime to cover the subscription cost. They do let you sign up for the free month and then cancel. Then at some point you can repeat and rinse Smilie

Im sorry but im ignorant with electronics. This seems a bit much for an internal SSD. Any particular reason this costs so much when i can get a gen 3 pcle for around 100 on sale?

Although I haven't had an issue with Newegg, I've had the same issue with some Amazon vendors. Ebay has them for $90, Best buy for $120.

This particular Samsung model has historically been proven to be one of the best long-lasting, trouble free SSD's available. Great track record.
