No you didn't. You either bought last year's m658-g1 or the lower tier m65Q7-H1. Best buy has never sold this model, not yet at least

I have the previous years model of this. This seems like a great deal. This model has better brightness and some good gaming features when compared to last years model.

Biggest problem with mine is you won't see great upscaling from 720p content when compared with more expensive TVs, but that is to be expected.

That's not the same TV. The one from this deal is the Q8 and the link you put is the Q7.

This Vizio or the Sony X900H that is on sale at Costco/Amazon for $975 or whatever the price was? Which one is the better TV you guys think? I'm guessing the Sony would be better for gaming since it will support 120hz eventually.

2.1 does not mean 4k120hz. This panel is 60hz. All Vizio's from the cheapest to the most expensive will have HDMI 2.1. Unlike HDMI cables, 2.1 isn't just about bandwidth, but other features as well.

Worth noting that can be addressed through devices like a Nvidia Shield if you watch a lot of low res content. I also have last years model (picked up an open box 55" for $300 during that Best Buy open box clearance sale earlier this year) and have been very impressed with it. My main TV is an OLED and while the Vizio M is obviously not at that level, it's still quite impressive and great bang for the buck. I recently added MediaLight bias lighting to the back which has helped with the blacks although they were already quite decent.
