EDIT: looks like this one includes the bypass (https://slickdeals.net/f/14426402-compustar-cs4905s-kit-2-way-remote-start-system-w-install-250-free-s-h?p=141127685#post141127685), so shouldn't be that much more as I have below. Easiest way still to get the final price is to call your local BBY.

TLDR: most cars will have $130-$200 additional, contact local Best Buy for more detail.

While basic install is included (which means installing what comes in the box), most cars these days will require additional costs to get the install complete. The reason for this is the anti-theft that is built into the keys these days mean the car doesn't start without the key in the car. Well since you aren't going to be in the car, since it is a REMOTE start, then an additional piece needs to be installed to allow the car to start. Then depending on the car, there may be additional hardware needed as well. This typically is $130-200 for most cars, typically being in the lower range. Best way to know is to call your local BBY with car information and they will let you know anything additional.

You're talking about the immobilizer bypass module. The bundle features the DC3 brain, which has the bypass module built-in. You do not need to buy one separately.

There may be some small additional charges for some vehicles or options you want (ie. $30 to trigger rear defrost), but $100+ for a bypass module is not accurate.

It isn't going to get any cheaper. The longer you wait, the further away your appoinment will be.

It says installation required. Does that mean you need to setup an appointment with Best Buy to install? If so does anyone know how much BB charge for Install? Thanks!

Also note, depending on the vehicle, you may have to lose a key (as some vehicles require a key to be present) if the car doesn't have a keyless bypass module or interface available. And if you don't have a extra key, then (again depending on the Make) you'll have to get one from the dealer, and that can set you back another $100-$250+ So as the above post says, it's best to call ahead, and they can tell you for sure what will be required for your car.

And that unit was $95 not that long ago.

You have to ask yourself, what is your time worth. Also, installing these isn't for the faint of heart.

I installed one in an '03 Subaru. No security key, very basic install. Still took me about 6-7 hours.

The range on this kit is outstanding.

Thanks. Not sure how much an installation alone costs. I am aware these aren't easy to DIY

I believe Best Buy charges $199 for basic remote start/keyless/bypass installation. There's no way buying the system elsewhere and paying for labor is going to be cheaper than this.

This one has the LTE option, it's just not included in the bundle. The other bundle sold with the LTE module (Drone) does go on sale once in awhile, but you wouldn't get these badass long range key fobs. Up to you. Buy this and the Drone module and have the best of both worlds.
