If you are going to run (or do any other cardio work), I suggest going for a watch with physical buttons. After a 10k run, it can really difficult to find something to dry your hands.
I sold my VA3 on Craigslist to get a 645. Great upgrade, but wish 645 had Bluetooth Virtual Running. Garmin's watch line is out of control in terms of figuring out which watch has which features.
Just a warning if the music feature is important to you: this watch uses an older bluetooth chipset than the current Garmin watches and it has some significant signal strength issues. I had to switch the watch to my right wrist for outdoor runs or I would have constant dropouts with all of my headphones. The newer watches (like 245 and newer) don't have this issue.

It's still a great watch, though, if you can live with that.

Came to post this as well. Went FP with +80 votes last time it was $10 higher. Great deal.

Vivoactive 4 Music has the same features. The Vivoactive is good, but the 645 is much better for things like running intervals because you're not relying on a touch screen all the time. The 645 is missing some virtual running and running metric features the 245 has.

I have the vivoactive 3 and I'm a runner. It's battery life and touch screen are just too difficult to deal with.

Garmin has a rep counting feature - I'm not sure which of the 645 and Vivoactive has said feature.

Maybe the 935 for $240 is the slightly better deal? https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/14429384

The Forerunner is a running watch. If you do not run, there are better Garmin watches for you.

935 is an older watch and doesn't support garmin pay or music. 935 does have multisport and open water swimming modes as well as longer battery life because it's much larger.

Personally I'm a runner and occasionally bike so none of the the 935 features appeal to me. The ability to run without my phone and listen to music as well pay for things without carrying a wallet makes the 645 Music the better watch for me.
