I bought my iphone 12 pro from Apple store yesterday. Rep activated the new phone while the phone is still in box. When I took it home, I got 'No Service'. Went to ATT store and they asked to power down for an hour and turn it back again. I did it several times. Rest the phone, network settings. Nothing helped. Today again called customer service and after long troubleshooting session, they asked to go to ATT store and get a new SIM card. Store didn't have any 5G sim card so they gave me 4G one so that at least I can make phone calls. Again called customer service to ship out 5G SIM.
I am guessing many of the out of box SIM card had issues because I saw 2 more customers with same complaint when I went to ATT store today.. So much hassle for getting a new phone.
