So I will change from Mobile Share Advantage Plus to Unlimited Elite/Starter then contact Loyalty and ask how mich is the Access fee and how mich Discount I am loosing first before taking the Loyalty 2 yrs?
What you can do is don't change it before the call and call loyalty and ask about which loyalty deals and there and ask about special loyalty 10$ per line discount plus auto payment discount and multi line discount and ask for the final monthly after all these discount and then take a call is my opinion . Specially ask for the 10$ loyalty discount if available as that is a great discount as if you have multiple lines . Hope that helps 🙏🙏🙏

Ugh... I wonder if I should just order directly from Apple or AT&T (if I'm able to do so) and have them ship me the phone. The problem is that the estimated delivery date is almost a month away through AT&T or Apple.

I'm not interested in having AT&T activate my new phone in-store, because, like you, the phone it's replacing is an "out-of-town" phone and I don't want to deactivate the existing phone (which isn't mine). I've never heard of such a requirement. I pre-ordered a second iPhone 12 Pro for a different line and picked it up on Friday at the Apple store with no problem. I brought it home and activated it.
What about delivery?

I have 3 lines with ATT under the 9 GB mobile share plan.
  • Mobile share 9GB w/autopay, paperless discount, & company discount - $47.91
  • Line 1 w/ all taxes and fees - $24.93
  • Line 2 w/ all taxes and fees - $24.93
  • Line 3 w/ all taxes and fees - $24.93
Total monthly bill: $122.70
Just contacted AT&T and was told changing my plan would result the following:

Changing to Unlimited starter plan: $152.80
Changing to Unlimited extra plan: $162.80

A $30 increase in monthly bills is a new iPhone pro every 30 months.

Significant increase to my bill. Waiting for the loyalty deals!
I saw a price for Elite but I didn't understand what the total was for 1line before fees.

Don't know how I would contact loyalty?

I didn't enable auto pay with paperless on my current grandfathered unlimited data plan because there was no prompt for showing it as a discount although I know it's a requirement for Elite to get a lower rate was used historically to get lower rates for previous shared data plans. The Signature $10 discount looks like you have to jump through more hoops to prove you work somewhere. Even if I don't update my phone or plan I feel like I am missing out being a loyal customer without ever calling for a discount. It sounds like it locks you into a new contact one way or another.

What about delivery?
I just changed my BestBuy order from pickup to delivery and now it's supposed to be delivered on Wednesday. I hope that avoids further headache. I was finally able to chat with a Best Buy representative. He was rude and said that he had "no idea" when my phone would be ready for pickup. He also said that there is wording in the "fine print" that states that they are allowed to oversell pre-order phones and that they aren't bound by the guaranteed pick-up date if they don't have inventory.

Dial 611 and ask for loyalty. Sometimes it may get rerouted.. so when you talk to someone, make sure and ask them if it's the loyalty dept.

Simply go to the chat and say you've been a loyal customers to AT&T and ask if they can do anything about the activation fee. Always worked for me Wink
When is the right time to call and ask for the activation fee to be waived? After purchasing the new phone? After the phone arrives in the mail? Does it matter?

I'm anticipating being on hold for 15+ mins so I only want to do it once!

That could break the deal right?

Since activation fee is part of the terms

I bought the phone in-store... So it was after the phone arrived.

Same. The rep at my Costco said they were sold out of the IPhone 12 Pro, and for the regular iPhone 12 they only had it in green and red.

Decided to go to ATT store directly.
1. It's faster. Guy in front of me at Costco took 45 mins!
2. They have more options/colors
3. Can bring trade in to the store

While the $50 rebate thru Costco would have been worth it if all things were equal, I ultimately decided against it. Now I just have to call and try to get the activation fee waived.

They did our trade in, in store and we got a receipt that basically says the phone is worth $200 but then it is zeroed out for the $850 off bill credits. We have 4 ATT unlimited plus lines with HBO MAX and one iPad line.

I traded in three phones to corporate store yesterday and got the paper work. Is there any place in my online account where I can check the pending statement credit status? I've been told the credit may take up 3 statements to show up in my account.
