Wondering what the differences are? These both say HEPA (reading more - I didn't think the Fluffy was?) but I'm struggling to understand why the one with the Fluffy head MSRPs for less.
Every time a Dyson deal pops up I often see a handful of folks mention how horrible the battery life is. Is it really that awful?
I hear that it lasts only approx 10 min of vacuuming. Granted, I don't see myself vacuuming for that long to be honest too often.. Maybe 15 min at the most but I find it pretty crazy to hear a top tier vacuum, such as a Dyson, only have a 10 min run time before having to recharge.

If you have it on power mode it lasts about 15 mins but reg mode probably around 45
This is available for the same price also from Dyson also free shipping via newegg[newegg.com]. There it says the manufacture warranty is only 1 year but 4 year square trade is only $30 since it's based on the after-sale price. On ebay I only see an option for 3 year square trade and it's based on the before-sale price.

Will this work well on hard/wood floors? Do I need the fluffy head attachment?
I have the same question. I read a review[moderncastle.com] that shows the hardwood functionality is subpar without the fluffy/soft head. I bought one for $90 from amazon, since I can always return it if I end up not needing it.

I have a V8 that I bought directly from Dyson with all the attachments. I have hardwood floors and the fluffy head is the best at cleaning. For rugs and carpet I use the standard attachment.

Just FYI, the Newegg listing will NOT ship to Massachusetts... Very strange but there it is.
I purchased a Dyson V7 from Sam's last week for nearly $350.
I returned the V7 a few days later.
For one, most variants of the V7, including the one I purchased, don't have the HEPA motor exhaust filter. In other words, most variants of the V7 actually pollute the air as you vacuum. See 4:40 in the below video; you can see that the Dyson spews out the dirty air that it just sucked up.
This deal is better in that it actually is one of the rare V7 variants with a HEPA filter.
Two, this was my first time buying a Dyson product and I was expecting to be impressed by build quality. Instead, the V7 is made out of creaky plastic. Felt like one drop would crack it. Nearly the entire vacuum and its parts were all plastic. Plastic parts, plastic mechanisms, plastic everything basically.
Also, the balance of the V7 sucks. I thought stick vacs would be awesome, but instead, the vac kind of hurt my hand to hold. The part of the vacuum where you hold is heavier than expected, and I'm saying this as someone who works out on a consistent basis. I can't imagine how someone smaller than me would feel about the V7. Imaging dragging around a 10 pound dumbbell with a 5 foot pole attached to it....that's how holding the V7 feels. Cleaning with a stick vac is probably not as effortless as the ads make it out to be, with the models pointing the V7 at the corners of rooms to clean out cobwebs and stuff.
Also, the trigger doesn't lock. You have to keep your finger on the trigger for the vacuum to stay on. So if your hands are small, that probably will get annoying.
Emptying the vacuum also sucks, because it requires two hands. It claims to be "hygienic" and that emptying doesn't require you to touch the dust, but in practice, the process of emptying the bin is horrible. I think the V8/V10/V11 have a different, better/improved mechanism.
Battery life is about 20 minutes on normal suction mode, and like 5 minutes on maximum suction mode.
The car cleaning attachment (small brush roller) sucks. It barely picked up dirt on my floor mats. Had to do multiple passes.
Hair also gets snagged in the brush roller.
I would save my money and wait for a deal on a Shark with the auto-cleaning/no hair tangle brush roller.
Just a little anger venting from myself. I placed this order yesterday and within 20 minutes requested a cancellation.
The website said "Due to the high volume or orders, it may take an additional 4-6 days to fulfill your order" or something like that.
However, I did NOT get a cancellation. Instead, I seemed to have been expedited. Within an hour of requesting a cancellation my order was packed up and prepared for shipping and my credit card was charged.
Now I get to fight the dispute of them cancelling the order and fully refunding me!
So - if you want your order quicker, try filing a cancellation!

Why not give the vacuum a shot for a day or so and then send it back if dissatisfied?

Why does this one (https://www.ebay.com/itm/273976851242) MSRP for less than this one (https://www.ebay.com/itm/273192584551).

Mine lasts a little less than this. But these stick vacs aren't designed to clean your whole house. Works well for quick daily cleanups

Yes the fluffy head is best for hardwood floors

Also, EBay tagged on tax but Newegg did NOT.
