Let's hope Costco matches and the iPhone 7 or even the 6s are eligible

Yeah, I can see T-mobile scheming now on the terms:
Add 3 lines of Magenta only, requires 36 months of bill credits, trade-in iPhone X or higher and one major organ ...

Nope. Your math is incorrect. You got royally screwed. You are paying far more than $700 savings for the excess charges that you are paying (over 24 or 30 months) for the T-Mobile plan over Mint Mobile's $30 all in monthly cost for an unlimited plan which ironically also runs on the T-Mobile network
Yeah, if I don't upgrade this year, I'll prob switch to prepaid. I use my phone off Wifi all of 2 h/week when I go to the 2 stores that don't deliver. De-prioritization isn't as much hassle when you're never at places with many people anymore.

this is not a deal at all esp. if you are existing customer.
there is not a single retailer or sp offering iphone 12 without bill credits. except for costco. so wait for costco promo which wont come until nov.
Yep, that's my plan. Verizon actually had great deals last year, but if neither has something good for 12, I'll switch to prepaid and buy the phone cash. Or wait for 13 for 120 Hz and microLED.

It is for new customers. How do you think it will work if you do not add a line?

As long as we can pay it off early, and unlock it and still get bill credits this might be a good deal.

Tired of all these new customer deals that leave current customers in the dust. Hello AT&T and First Responder discount. Their promotions have consistently included existing customers and have not screwed them over like T-Mobile had. AT&T coverage is also much better here in Central NJ compared to T-Mobile which has gotten much slower in the past year or so

Just depends how you played it the last 4 months. And if you need more than 2 lines. I joined TMO end of June, now have 5 lines Magenta for $96, tax included. That's less than $20 a line, two free A71 5G's after bill credits (I don't care cause I'm not going anywhere). . .plus $450 in my pocket.

Might be time to switch. I've got 7 lines on grandfathered Simple Choice for around $130/month, I think. But I'm the opposite of others here, instead of spending more time at home I've been spending more time driving through rural areas, around Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and T Mobile service is just non-existent. Might be time to go to Verizon.

I'm not a T-mobile shill and am anti-corporate in general, but I have to say the past few months T-mobile has been rocking the deals for current customers.

I guess you missed the recent deals for various free phones, free additional lines, BYOD rebates, Hookup codes and rebates, etc.

Plus we get Netflix credit monthly and T-mobile Tuesday perks (which are mostly lame but sometimes good).

Overall, not too shabby IMHO.

I feel so rip for missing those. But if this is good as a new customer I might be okay with it.

Yes, same contrast level (dark blacks and deep colors) but with 0 chance of burn-in. Would allow for computer monitors with OLED capabilities.

Does T-Mobile still have an activation fee? I think it's BS that the sim models are $30 more than the Verizon models

The only good deal T-Mobile has ever had for iPhones was those couple of years they did a free memory upgrade without having to add lines or anything.
