Let's hope Costco matches and the iPhone 7 or even the 6s are eligible

Yeah, I can see T-mobile scheming now on the terms:
Add 3 lines of Magenta only, requires 36 months of bill credits, trade-in iPhone X or higher and one major organ ...

You've been dropped on the head a few times? Why is this deal bad? And what other carriers have a better deal? If this is a bad deal then move on
Existing customers get the shaft, both VZ and ATT offer more of a discount and have deals that give you 24 mos bill credit vs 30. Tmo has always branded themselves as a cut above with customer loyalty yet existing customers do worse now comparatively. Also, getting an ATT plan I can have the top end plan at the same price as my tmo plan. I hate ATT and VZ but Tmo will lose a lot of customers if they don't execute retention well. Also, no I havent been dropped on my head, but thanks for asking. K bye.

I just left VZ for T-Mobile and there's no way their plans are anywhere close to T-Mobile prices. I have 4 lines on Magenta for $112 and Verizon would be much more than this. Verizon's starter unlimited is a joke and not comparable to Magenta. Personally I would rather save money every month than determine my carrier based on phone discounts. Eventually (like maybe BF) there will probably be a better deal than this one.

I hear you, I guess I missed some discounts somewhere. I have 4 lines with Tmo under simply choice and I am paying 160 plus tax.

Nope still getting the shaft. I mean I should be grateful that we are able to get $440 for a trade in on the 12 pro but that's really it.

I was comparing plans for my Wife and I, (two phones, two watches, and a tablet) and honestly it seems to be pretty close between carriers with $10-20 difference between carriers. This makes the better phone offer at other carriers put them right in the running with T-mobile's cost for the first two years at least.

I'd probably not be willing to make the change but my problem is T-mobile service has gotten worse in our neighborhood which didn't use to be a big deal but now that we are working from home, it can be annoying. Yes, on a normal day we use WIFI but we have had a few times when internet or power went down this summer and our phones were unusable.

The thing that is really holding me back at this point is Verizon doesn't seem to be able to port in Apple Watches from T-mobile.

Nothing in the documentation says it's not eligible.
You can call again or ask them on Twitter DM.

Wonder if I can trade in iphone 6s plus now for iphone 11. Pay off iphone 11 and then trade that in. Going to have to do some math and see if it is worth it.

Has anyone confirmed you can unlock it early after paying it off completely and still get bill credits?

I am probably in the minority here but this is a good deal for me. If the wiki is accurate, the trade in value for my original SE and parents 6s will be $415 with the longtime customer bonus. Neither of those phones have anywhere near that value anywhere else.
If the same deal is available when the iPhone 12 Mini is released, I will jump on it since I prefer a smaller handset for my main mobile device (hence the original SE).

I did take advantage of last month's free line combined with the iPhone 11 Pro On Us deal. Got $1000 trade in value for my iPhone X so free phone and free line for an existing customer. Doesn't happen often though.

Normally I would agree that existing customers don't usually get decent deals but for those with older phones, this added loyalty bonus makes a big difference.

Yes. I have done this with 2 iPhones 11 that I purchased and getting bill credits for this past year.
