Let's hope Costco matches and the iPhone 7 or even the 6s are eligible

Yeah, I can see T-mobile scheming now on the terms:
Add 3 lines of Magenta only, requires 36 months of bill credits, trade-in iPhone X or higher and one major organ ...

How does it make any sense that the iPhone 8 gets a higher value trade in than the 2nd gen SE? Isn't the SE just a revamped iPhone 8 with a better chip?
Yep i just read thru all the comments to see who would bring this up i can buy an iphone 8 for 200 right now and the new se is worth 350 at least used. I actually traded an iphone 8 just to get the se.

What if you haven't paid off your 11 pro max yet? Do u still get $850 off?
Pretty sure you have to pay the remaining balance before you can trade it in.

Are there any loyalty discounts for Sprint customers who pay for the phone in full up front? I do have a iPhone I could trade in, but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

I don't understand why T mobile can't just take the savings off the top, why does it have to be bill credits ...🤔

More details of the offers here:

My only concern on the loyalty rebate is, my device is not showing correctly on t-mo account. even the IMEI is wrong.

FYI This is how the trade in work as I asked about iPhone XR with different capacity yesterday:

Great question! The Fair Market Value (FMV) is determined when the device is received at the warehouse (or in store if you order that way) and is applied upfront to either the account balance or open financing for other devices. The difference is divided over the term and applied via month credit. So for example, the 128GB of the XR is estimated to be $211 upfront so the $204 over 30 months would be about $6.80 monthly (The 512GB version is estimated $221 FMV which breaks down to about $6.46 monthly credits)

Blame all the people in the past who got their rebates upfront and left T-Mobile after they cashed out the rebate and kept the phone for a price under MSRP

$211 for a 128GB iPhone XR on an existing line - no thanks!
BTW, looks to be going for $400ish on Swappa at present.

The 8 was a flagship phone, so the trade in deals are most likely based on the original purchase price not their current market value.

Because people keep cancelling after getting the rebates. Not that I blame anyone, phones are expensive and it's a way to maximize savings.

Yep, I reported earlier about my worry about my 8 plus trade in. So for me it was $129 upfront for the market value of the phone and then the remaining $286 will be applied to my account as bill credits over 24 months (not 30 as in your case).

wasn't tmobile the one that started this whole uncarrier stuff and brought the 24 month bill credits which is pretty much the same as a 2 year contract?
