Let's hope Costco matches and the iPhone 7 or even the 6s are eligible

Yeah, I can see T-mobile scheming now on the terms:
Add 3 lines of Magenta only, requires 36 months of bill credits, trade-in iPhone X or higher and one major organ ...

Does Costco usually match these promos? Also around what month do they start having offers or sales?

FYI This is how the trade in work as I asked about iPhone XR with different capacity yesterday:

Great question! The Fair Market Value (FMV) is determined when the device is received at the warehouse (or in store if you order that way) and is applied upfront to either the account balance or open financing for other devices. The difference is divided over the term and applied via month credit. So for example, the 128GB of the XR is estimated to be $211 upfront so the $204 over 30 months would be about $6.80 monthly (The 512GB version is estimated $221 FMV which breaks down to about $6.46 monthly credits)
Greencreature, on my email confirmation, it stated my xr would receive $0 in bill credits at the bottom of the email. What does yours say?

iphone 12 doesn't come with a charger or headphones. crazy. you have to buy the charger separately. previous USB chargers won't work as it's a new type of cable being used. it's not usb-c

Been a cricket customer for last 4 years on $100 for 4 lines. Can any one here suggest what's the best way to switch to T-Mobile? What are the best choices available on family plan? Will switching also make me eligible for new phone? Any experts here who can advice on what to do?

TM has been a disappointment laterly, ATT deal is better, since they give you $800 and it doesn't require a new line, even if you are an existing customer.

Sure TM might be cheaper right now, but in the course of 30 months if you add up the total, ATT is cheaper by about $1500, plus I would get better service.

This only applies to me, for other people TM might be a better choice.

now, I just wish Costco will offer the same deal, usually its price is $50 less and less restrictive?

Add a new line kills the deal for so many of us for sure
you don't have to add a new line you get less if you don't but still can do trade in.

It really depends on when your "previous" starts. The last couple of iPhones have come with a USB-C to lightning cable and USB-C block.

I haven't done it and won't do the TMO trade-in as I don't like the almost 3 years of bill credits.

so it's still a lightning connector to the phone? i.e. an iphone 7 / 11 charging cable would still work on the phone?

If the Iphone I'm trading in has had the battery and/or screen replaced (third party) does it still qualify for the credit? There's no physical or water damage to the phone.

This, of course, is totally subjective. T-Mobile has much better reception in my area and also my plan is much cheaper than what AT&T has right now.

Even with only getting $415 for my iPhone X, the savings is pretty substantial over the course of the next couple of years over what AT&T is charging for their plans.

I guess the only thing we can hope for is that T-Mobile loses enough customers to AT&T and Verizon and comes up with a better offer for current customers.
