Actually, he might be right. Having just switched from AT&T to T-Mobile a few months back, i can confirm that anything older than the 7 will work but with limited capabilities. For example, data might work on the cellular network but speeds are greatly reduced (they claim it's hardware but not sure I believe that), you can't send/receive a text while on the phone, etc. Not always a dealbreaker for many (like my in-laws) but carriers ARE limiting the use of older phones by not/no longer supporting many features on them.

Here's hoping this works with the "any condition" clause Sprint had last year. Hubby accidentally jumped in the pool with his 8 in his swimsuit pocket. I'd like to get a 12 Pro but just upgraded to an 11 Pro last Xmas.

I've read that the iPhone being traded in has to have been activated on Tmo network for a week a few weeks ago. Does it count if it were active on the Metro network?

Any way to filter or sort comments by keyword or something? There are 68 pages of comments, half of them with useless stuff like "this one time.." or "haha". Trying to get some good info buried in the noise but deal might be over by then... 😜

I just called and they said you have to add a line to receive the full $850 credit but some have said you don't have to here. How do we get around that? Existing customer here.

Kinda defeats the purpose, though, since you save more by adding the line thanks to a higher credit. If no $850 credit, there are better deals.
