Let's hope Costco matches and the iPhone 7 or even the 6s are eligible
Yeah, I can see T-mobile scheming now on the terms:
Add 3 lines of Magenta only, requires 36 months of bill credits, trade-in iPhone X or higher and one major organ ...
Hoping for iPhone 12 Mini promos.

I just tried to upgrade a line and was told that I can't do the loyalty rebate. They said the computer self identifies those accounts that qualify and mine didn't. However it does have an additional line Which she said was rare. I'm a 55plus. When I tried to get the free line a couple of months ago . That wouldn't work either.

I've got a 6s with a tiny chip in a corner of the screen. Assume that means my phone is not in "good" condition to do a trade-in?

What's the easiest way to find out if my account qualify for the $200 loyalty credit? Also for those who did the trade in, do I just go through the "upgrade" option on T-Mobile website?

If your account was started before 11/30/15, then you're good.
There's some issues on the Sprint side of things, but T-Mobile has been mostly fine since it's a rebate you apply for afterward.

What about adding a line to existing account getting the 850 off then just canceling the line after 90 days and paying the remaining balance off? Goal is to get the 850. Will they negate the trade in credits ?

This way id get the max discount and then use the phone with my main line. Any thoughts to the above?

Yup. They attach those credits to the line so they go away as well.

You might want to ask a different representative on T-Force just to double-check.

In the detailed requirements of the promo, they don't mention having to be on any specific plan. Normally they would list out specifically that you'd need to be a certain plans like Magenta or One to qualify, but not here.

Also, it would seem kind of odd to offer a promo to only customers with 5+ year tenure but require them to be on plans less than 5 years old.
I did and they confirmed I am not eligible for the $200 loyalty. Like a few others have mentioned, I was told their system automatically identifies which accounts are eligible and my account was listed as not eligible when they tried to verify it, they didn't know why I was not eligible even though they said I have been a customer for over 5 years.

I have a balance of about $330 on my current iPhone. I get monthly credits - If I pay it off in full to avail the iPhone 12 deal then will I still receive the credits?

Oh are you a Sprint customer? Sprint has had weird system quirks regarding the $200 loyalty credit.

Are you trading in an iPhone which is active in the line to be upgraded (at least between August and October)? That is the only additional requirement in addition to the 5+year Tmobile customer.

Yeah, the phone I'm trading in has been active for 2+ years.

Go to their rebate site, enter the promo code and choose the phone number to be upgraded. It would say if your promotion is found and you can submit the rebate with the IMEI from the new phone.

If they can't give you a reason why then fight them on it.

The 30 month Credit really sucks for upgrading to the next iPhone next year, Because in 12 moths u won't have paid half yet ...right?

I have an iPhone XR with $415 credit split into 30 months, that's 13.83 x 12 off the full price.
