Let's hope Costco matches and the iPhone 7 or even the 6s are eligible
Yeah, I can see T-mobile scheming now on the terms:
Add 3 lines of Magenta only, requires 36 months of bill credits, trade-in iPhone X or higher and one major organ ...
Hoping for iPhone 12 Mini promos.

Yes. Thanks for that . So what's your total out of pocket up front ? And then do you have to pay per month or will they charge upfront and give you credit for it over 30 months .
$829.44 for the three phones total out of pocket up front.

Once I use the $600 in rebates my total with trading in the 1 - XS and 2- X's will be $1092 and change for three brand new phones that without the deals and trade in's retail = $3022.07

FYI the billing credits for my trade in's are for 24 months not 30.

Been with T-Mobile for 6 years... didn't see any option to get the extra $200 credit. How does that work? Will they send me some kinda rebate form?

It will just come to you via email it's a virtual prepaid card. I had called to verify it and they said yes sir 8 years a customer it's in the system and it's automatic.

Ask them to copy and paste the full terms for you and show you where Select Choice is excluded. I have a feeling they're looking at the wrong deal.
I definitely understand wanting to make sure you are getting the best available offer for the device. While I am not able to provide you with a screen shot that provides the list of eligible plans for this offer, as it is in an internal system, but in the terms in conditions of the offer it does mention that you do need to have qualified service to take advantage of the offer. You can check out the terms and conditions at this link, https://t-mobile.com/support/acco...0107#trade

At this point I feel super shafted. I'll am inclined to do the Costco promo and after unlocking and rebate, go to mint mobile. All my 4 lines use less than 1 GB a month so at least I can save some money with prepaid if they have banned me from promos.

that happens to me, so on the T-Mobile app right top corner there's a messaging icon. Tap on that and text an CS, they charge a $20 processing fee. But tell them it's because your trade-in cannot be done on the app, they will credit you the processing fee.

Beware that most phones older than an year or so will not qualify for trade-in because t-mobile is very strict about inspection these days. I took my iPhone 7, iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 5 to them, all of them in working condition. They found flaws with each of them and didn't accept them. Even the loyalty program needs the similar trade-in that must pass the rigorous inspection. So, I wouldn't bank upon these trade-in deals anymore.
Can you please give more details, this could be really useful for those us trading in older phones. Did you have them inspect it at a T-Mobile store before trading in?

Or did you mean Assurant (the 3rd party company handling the trade in) rejected all the phones you mailed them

Some great info from an 8 year TMo customer.

I purchased 2 iPhone 12 Pro's yesterday @ 8am and 1 iPhone 12.

Here is how it worked for me.

Line 1 - New iPhone 12 Pro - 999.99 w/ tax 1069.99 - I paid 249.99 down + 70. = 319.99
Traded in my XS got $500 in 24 monthly credits. My EIP will be $10.41 a month 24 months. I also will get a virtual prepaid card for $200 7-10 days after the phone is delivered. I plan on using the $200 to pay down the EIP. The rep told me to wait one month so the EIP hits my account before paying down the balance.

Line 2 - New iPhone 12 Pro - 999.99 w/ tax 1069.99 - I paid 249.99 down + 70. = 319.99
Traded in my X got $415 in 24 monthly credits. My EIP will be $13.95 a month 24 months. I also will get a virtual prepaid card for $200 7-10 days after the phone is delivered. I plan on using the $200 to pay down the EIP.

Line 3 - New iPhone 12 - 829.99 w/ tax 882.09 - I paid 169.99 down + 58.10. = 228.09
Traded in my X got $415 in 24 monthly credits. My EIP will be $10.20 a month 24 months. I also will get a virtual prepaid card for $200 7-10 days after the phone is delivered. I plan on using the $200 to pay down the EIP.

Any questions? I have a simple choice plan that is 4 unlimited lines and one data line I got for free for $157 with tax and fees.
I got one Pro and one IPhone 12, only had to pay a down payment for the iPhone 12. They didn't ask for a down payment for the pro, only paid taxes. Is my rep wrong in this?

So it's $200 per line virtual card?

Thanks

Wasn't sure if it was just the whole account or each new phone would get it

Can't be correct. Why would they give you the more expensive phone without a down payment? I know all taxes must be paid upfront too.

Also, I'm not sure what you're gaining from paying anything towards your EiP plan.

Your credits are discounted anyway To begin with. I believe the full retail comes out of it anyway so it's not gonna be 24 x 10.41. 249.84

They are just giving you the discount over time.

So what's the strategy?

Check the contract. It will list the breakdown of the payment.

Anyone else having trouble with trading in their phone? The 'Get estimate' button is always grey'ed out even after inputting all my information.
