I bought it - I was able to flip my series 1 for 120. Put a lot of hours on that controller, hope this version holds up as well

I've been looking as well. It's doubtful they release a new version for at least a year. I'm jumping in on this one to hold me over.

The Microsoft warranty on their controllers is 90 days. So the doubling of warranty doesn't really help

Btw. Warranty is useless on this controller if you're buying from Costco. I had 2 buttons not work on my controller. I used it for about 6 months. Just returned it yesterday. No questions asked. Lifetime returns. Love Costco.

For real. Used mine for 2.5 months then kinda stopped playing Xbox so decided might as well return it to Costco.

There is the $20 Microsoft Warranty you have to purchase over the phone/email that gives 3 years. Must be in 45 days, had I bought it. I woulda kept the elite because I miss it, but i forgot and felt like to much of a risk to have a $160 controller with no warranty.

This ignorance comes from never actually using it. Is it expensive? Absolutely. Is it 1000% better than a standard Xbox controller? Yes, it is. Use it and you'll never want to pick up the stock controller again. It's a really, really good controller, and if you spend a couple hours a day playing video games, the cost per hour will be cents over its lifetime.

Who said this is a ridiculous price? I think it's worth $160. And btw consoles are $300+
