Is Xfinity right for everyone, no. Is it right for savers who don't use a phone constantly for streaming, for video, for online gaming, for regular Google mapping; yes it is.
My monthly bill is between $16 and $28, just depends on data usage. Locations I had a problem with Verizon service are the same locations I have problems with Xfinity, but those are very, very few.
My Verizon bill, no matter what was around 60 per line. Don't need to pay all that money to pad someone else's pockets.
Look at your monthly data avg., to see what makes cents and dollars.

yea, def knew they used the hotspots... and in most cities, think alot of people have that service (toggled on), on their rental router.
i really don't care about customer service. if the service is working, I have no reason to call to complain...
Curious to know if anyone from vzw switched to here, and their thoughts.

So xfinity locked your BYOD iPhone 8? That means it was unlocked before you joined xfinity. Can xfinity lock and unlocked phone?

Xfinity Mobile is a good Verizon MVNO. Consistently fast speeds in my area compared to T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T. Didn't like the hotspot throttling with Xfinity Mobile - 600kbps is insane, but Visible you are limited to 1 device at a time. I switched to Visible because price was cheaper ($25 all in, if you join a party, as opposed to $48/month) and direct Verizon but there's no telling if they keep all the niceties.
Activation with Xfinity Mobile was a pain, but port out was easy. They give you the PIN and close out your account upon successful port out.
Hopefully Visible does something similar. It's good to hear both are offering 5G too.
So Visible starts at $40, Party of 2 makes bill $35, 3 makes bill $30, and 4 drops everybody's bill to $25.
The bad thing about it is if anyone leaves, the whole party is disbanded and everybody's bill goes up to $40. Happened to me only once, but I was able to join another before my bill was due.
and another comment in page #3 - "They have 2 plans, one unlimited at $45 per line and 2nd per gig, $15 for a gig or $30 for 3 gigs"

So is it still not eligible after paying off the phone and 3 month service?

"Last December my friend bought iPhone from Xfinity. He thought it will be unlocked once paying off in full. That's true but Xfinity taking full price in 24 installments only (No option to pay full in one installment) & as per them phone cannot be unlocked until that time."
YMMV about them to unlock it for you or not after paying it off.

If during the time of purchase, we are allowed to pay it in full, is it safe to say that we can get it unlocked on day 60?

xfinity guidelines DO NOT mention anything about that only original purchaser can request the unlock (imagine how many people leave them and switch without requesting the unlock beforehand) so all those phones now can only be used on xfinity or traded in (which I'm planning to do).
