If you are not a heavy data user, say less than 3GB monthly, major savings are available. I was with Verizon and all the costs just kept adding up. Monthly fee, line fee, 911, taxes, regulatory, on and on....

Is Xfinity right for everyone, no. Is it right for savers who don't use a phone constantly for streaming, for video, for online gaming, for regular Google mapping; yes it is.

My monthly bill is between $16 and $28, just depends on data usage. Locations I had a problem with Verizon service are the same locations I have problems with Xfinity, but those are very, very few.

My Verizon bill, no matter what was around 60 per line. Don't need to pay all that money to pad someone else's pockets.

Look at your monthly data avg., to see what makes cents and dollars.

Where did you see $10? I don't think this is true.
In the Xfinity page, after selecting the phone you want, it ask you new number or keep my number. If you select new number monthly total is let's say 50, and if I select keep my number is 40 monthly. Try it to verify. Thanks.

New to xfinity. Do you have to have their internet service? Where I live they don't even offer cable or internet service. Thanks

Yes. Non-internet customers pay $20 extra per line.

For you, Verizon's pre-paid service (www.Visible.com) is a much better deal. Cost is as low as $25 per line for 3GB data, all in.

Visible is offering new customers $100 off iPhones and free Bose wireless headphones (229 value).

You would be surprised at how much data email / web / surfing / camera feeds can use. If you stream music then even more. My data use for just safari is 10gb this month. Gmail is 2.9gb. Now keep in mind this is WiFi and 4g combined. So if your mainly on WiFi then the number that matters could be way less. My point is you should login to your VZ account and check your actual usage.

uh yes, i have logged in to VZW and that is where I got my baseline for the amount of data I have used.

If you are around 3GB per month with Verizon, you'll likely be far less than that with Xfinity Mobile due to their WiFi network.

It all depends on your location. The more rural the less hotspots available.

I had this same concern when I put my family on their Xfinity Mobile plans but it's been great and use much less data than I did with regular carrier plans.

I've ported in two lines BYOD last week and am thinking about replacing a device with the iphone 12 taking advantage of the $250 prepaid card. However the "customer service" of XM is completely useless. I talked to three "agents":

--One said the BYOD phone had to be purchased from XM to qualify for the discount
--One said the new phone has to be on a monthly plan to "get the card'
--One said I have to port in another number to qualify

WTF?? Where did they outsource their "agents" to get such clueless monkeys?

In all seriousness, I already see a $25 port-in credit in their "reward center". If I just go ahead and buy one of their iphones now paying full price (I see the $250 card in the cart if I choose "pay in full") will I get the prepaid card or not?

I also want to know the answer to this question! I just ported my number as well too and going to purchase an
iPhone at full price to take advantage of the 250 GC.

I already had lines here, but I bought iPhone SEs and paid in full and see the reward for the $250 GC after a week or so show up in the reward site.

Thanks for doing the homework! So minimum $45 (3 months) unless you can magically get it unlocked on the 60th day. Doesn't seem too bad.
I think the minimum is $90? It looks like you cannot select the cheapest 1GB data plan for this promotion. I tried...

I'm an existing customer (paid for iPhone 12 in full) and can now see the gift card in the rebate center, www.xfinityrewardcenter.com. Took a few days to appear after II activated my new phone (which in itself took many calls Asia turns out they never registered the SIM they included with the phone). As others have mentioned, the gift card originally showed at checkout when I pre-ordered, but not on order confirmation. Screenshot attached.

Curiously, I'm still on the original $12/gb plan and the phone indicates I get 5G service, which would be nice!

Will you only see the $250 GC shown up on xfinitiyrewardecenter.com after you activate the new phone? My phone won't be shipped one week later...

Never had any issues and when I once had to chase them for a claim, they quickly paid out.
