I really hate to spend money on video game accessories, but if your kids play Fortnite and enjoy impressing their friends with their Fortnite accessories, thIs is what they want for Christmas! I've never found the V-Bucks gift cards on sale before, not sure how often they are "on sale." Best Buy has them for 20% off right now.

I opted for the $40 V-Bucks card, which gives them 5000 V-Bucks. Also, if you have multiple children who play, apparently if you put the v-bucks on one account, that person can "gift" items to their friends. My kids have also learned to wait for package "deals" that the game offers, so they can figure out their most bang per v-buck. (I guess they are learning a little bit about personal finance, anyway. Smilie )

Thanks OP. Thumbup

FYI: Walmart and Target both have the $100 card for $80 if you have a red card.

I think this is the new "regular" price as of September. It's the same if you buy them directly in the game. Everything was permanently reduced by 20%.

But I don't think the Fortnite gaming platform store allows you, as a parent of a player, to purchase an actual "Gift Card" to give as a gift? Or am I wrong on that? Plus, you might also be able to earn some rewards if you purchase the gift cards online at Best Buy. I did check and there was no discount showing for the gift cards on Amazon.

Also, I believe there might be a discount on the cards at Game Stop, but I couldn't buy them online. Stores get sold out of them, again because gift-givers want the physical gift card.

As others have indicated, this is NOT as much of a deal as advertised. The prices of vbucks officially dropped about a month or 2 ago.

This is a good deal. If you buy the $40 for $32 card, once you put it into your account it gives you an additional 20% of v bucks (1000 v bucks more) for the $40 card because prices did drop 20% a couple months ago so they are even giving the discount when you buy the giftcards at the stores.

That makes sense because as far as epic is concerned, you spent full price. In for 2

Your better off getting the $100 card for $80. More vbucks. Unless you want the 2 different cards for 2 different gamers.
