if you were going to be a new customer with 6 lines and qualified for the "free" iphone 12 on each line, which is the cheapest plan? (assuming no employer or corporate discounts and i am guessing 6 per month in taxes/fees per line)

Got a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE for free with trade-in of my husband's S9 Active yesterday. Paid sales tax only at the ATT store.
To get it free, trade-in must be valued (by ATT) at $95 or higher. We barely squeaked in; ATT valued his phone at $100. (My phone, a J7, didn't make the cut — they valued it at $0 — ugh.)
But the best deal ever if you qualify... I'd never gotten the newest model phone free before.

Terms and Conditions says you must sign up for at least the $75 unlimited plan.

If the device trades in with AT&Ts system for $95 they give you $800 in credit towards the iPhone 12. The Xr meets that qualification.
