Just fyi to anyone buying these, make sure and update the firmware. The earlier firmware was terrible at active noise canceling. Also in my opinion these were a very uncomfortable pair of headphones. The top band has almost no cushion. Normally not a problem for me but these headphones use a lot of metal so they are heavy and that top band will dig into your head and really start to hurt after awhile.

How's this compare to Anker Soundcore Q20? I've purchased the JBL Club 700BT. The ear part is way too small and I'm not a big person. Seems like it's for kids. The Q20 covers my ear perfectly and the NC is great. Haven't tried it outside where there's a lot of traffic... Is this JBL ear part as small as the JBL Club 700BT?

Per the item description the club 700s are on ear and the club 950 are over ear so that could be the reason the 700s are small for you while the 950 should cover your ears well.
I own them, they sound really good. Do not have a ton of noise canceling experience. They are heavy so you can't really use the to work out. I wear them all day at least once a week and I have gotten used to them. Definitely better than the 750NC headphones.

Could you measure the inside of the earcups (height x width, assuming they're oval)?
Too many headphones are a bit too small in this department and pinch my earlobes over time.
I don't make fun of JBL anymore. I picked up a set of wireless NC earbuds for $30 , the Elite Everest 150NC, and they have been tremendous. Obv sound is punched up but NC is actually really good compared to my QC20s that I lost.
JBL used to be great... lots of great home and car speakers, but man, they are mostly marketing trash unless you're spending $2k + for those retro home speakers, or buying some good studio monitors.
Imagine if Beats was just bad... not just mediocre, but bad. That's what JBL headphones are. Just marketing and trading on a good name.
If you have $100 to spend on headphones, you can get something good. Don't settle for this.
