Win10 Pro is $49.01, if you prefer that.

220 nits, BTW. Too bad, otherwise it's a pretty good price for the specs and upgradability.

This model has 220 nits 45% NTSC (58% sRGB) IPS display which is very poor and almost impossible for outdoor usage due to the lower brightness + Glossy display. Also, this whole series does not come with any higher quality panel option. Believe me, this panel is the best and the other one is a 220 Nits TN Panel.

The Build quality is superior and this is full metal as suggested by Dell.

What happened to the Ryzen 2-in-1s by Delly that were briefly available this summer?

Would this be a good laptop for school? Not looking for gaming, just not sure if cyber security needs a beefy computer?

Best Buy has them, just saw in them in store yesterday. They are Inspiron 7000 series (model number 7405) but it's the same chassis design as this.

This is fine for your purposes.

For me, it's worth it. I work in IT, and run my own domain at home as well, so.... It does come with Bitlocker too, so if you're looking for drive encryption without a subscription...

Is this 2-in1 laptop upgradeable with RAM and extra hard drive slot like regular Dell Inspirons (not 2-1 type)?

I bought the AMD 4500u 2 in 1 version of this laptop for my wife and I just received this version with the 1135g7/Iris Xe, and upgraded to 16GB and 1TB HD.

I'm pretty happy with it. I would say this is on par with the 4500u/4700u, as I'm able to game Borderlands 2 at about 45fps on 1080p and close to 60fps at 900p with the Iris Xe. Borderlands 3 is playable at ~30FPS at 720p which isn't bad. I'm guessing benchmarks for the 4700u are probably better but not by much. I upgraded to this laptop as I was tired of messing with AMD RyzenADJ software and liked something that just worked from the get go. Haven't tested as many games as I'd like yet, but lots of older games like Portal 2, Black Mesa, Flame in the Flood all ran perfectly smooth at 60+fps/1080p.

I'd say the only drawback is that it doesn't have room for a 2.5" HD which I'd like to use for Steam games etc.

Can you please share which ram you went with and if there is any easy to follow online guide for adding it. Thanks in advance.

I am looking for 2in1 laptop, what's the best option under $600? Prefer 11th gen i5 or AMD 4500 series.
