Myprotein has 2.2-lb Creatine Monohydrate Powder (Unflavored) on sale at 2 for $16.98 when you add 2 to cart and apply coupon code CREATINE in cart. Shipping is free. Thanks Bruinnn
This is weird to see in the last few myprotein threads. I feel as though they are above average in their shipping, as I have never had an issue and nothing has taken more than even a few days to get to me. I'm sure I'm jinxing it now, though, and this order will never come :/
Creatine is a substance that naturally occurs in our body. It's created by our liver, kidneys, and pancreas. It's found in our muscle cells where it helps muscles produce energy.
Creatine is an amino acid (protein building block). We get some creatine from our diet, mainly from animal products such as meat, fish, and poultry. Our bodies manufacture the rest. Creatine can also be made synthetically as a supplement.
When we exercise, we use energy and creatine. Once we use it, it decreases the creation of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which leads us to feeling tired. This is why people take creatine supplements -- to give that extra umph.
It provides a slight performance boost and quicker recovery along with making you retain a bit more water. Some people swear by it while others say they barely felt a difference while on creatine. Studies do show that creatine does help so it's no snake oil, just for some the results are negligible. You can get creatine from food even while on a vegetarian diet, but it's not as easy I'd imagine.
I'm not saying you should go out and buy some creatine, but you might want to consider it. Maybe it gives you a noticeable boost in performance, maybe it doesn't.
That's quite a bit of creatine. Multiple year supply. Not bad price, but just FYI. In all my research (many years in past) I don't believe any more than 3 grams is "necessary" for most people.

Does creatine help much? I am a skinny middle aged man who wants to gain muscle. I started exercising recently but have seen not much gains so far. I am a vegetarian so extra protein supplements is what I am looking for.

Yes, you get creatine from eating meat so supplementing should be helpful in keeping your muscles fully hydrated

What are you talking about? I just received my order yesterday from an order placed on Monday. They have canceled my order before but it only happened once.

For comparison, BulkSupplements brand on Amazon has 2.2 lbs for $19.96 or $16.97 with 15% off subscribe & save discount (my usual purchase).
This is double the amount (4.4 lbs) for roughly the same price.
