I called apple. It took them a while to figure out. So the bottom line is Apple do not carry any warranty on this as their record shows it is sold as is ( despite that their record says the original purchase date was May 2020, they just cannot add it back to the warranty (to May 2021). So it is a purchase at your own risk type of deal....

Picked up one. According to micro center staff, It is refurbished by either apple or apple authorized service. But only comes with 30 day warranty. The price is too good to skip it. Will return my Costco order (despite the 4 year warranty, ~$550 is too hard to miss)
