Thank you to all who replied about the flared edges. I would've loved to become a Sam's club member for free (with the current promotion) but having to go in-store to make it happen is a huge dealbreaker. The nearest Sam's club is 60 miles away. I don't want to be buying this set with no chance of being able to return if something were wrong.

I got this Cooks triply set from Costco instead: https://www.costco.com/.product.902962.html

JESUS CHRIST. This is the best deal I've seen on pots & pans in a while. I usually don't suggest buying sets, but this is completely usable, nothing that won't collect dust. ~$25/pan, tri-play cladding I think I might bite.

A similar set on Amazon. Customers are complaining it is made in China not Brazil

Very good price on this set. I've been using the 12-piece for a couple of years now, and it was a nice upgrade to my mix of 3-ply base pots and pans. Here's the set I purchased for comparison, though I feel like I got a 12-quart stock pot in mine and the saute pan was slightly smaller (5 qt?). I specifically remember wanting a larger stock pot, but maybe I settled. Also, mine definitely have SS lids, not glass. I think both options have their merits.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Tramon.../327690686

My saute pan either warped the first time I used it or was never perfectly flat, as it doesn't sit flat on a glass-top stove. I could probably file a warranty claim, but I ended up replacing it with a 6-qt All-Clad. This is part of the reason why I feel like my saute pan was a bit smaller, as the All-Clad is definitely bigger, but maybe it's just wider and shallower.

I still recommend this set. It can't be beat for value at second-tier quality. First-tier stuff is way more expensive for minimal returns. The rest of the pans are great, and I don't feel like I got a bad deal. The "warped" saute pan was still very usable, too; I'm just picky.

Yes, one downside to this set is the lack of flared edges. It just requires treating them a little differently and will be slightly less convenient for things like slowly pouring hot stock into risotti, but you can find workarounds like ladling at first and pouring the last bit. I have a really nice Demeyere saucier with flared edges that I use when I need that, but I paid $100 on sale for that pan alone. I haven't seen a pan with properly designed flared edges for pouring that is also as high quality as these for less than that, except maybe a factory second at TJ Maxx. The All-Clad "damaged box" 6 qt saute pan that has flared edges was $150.

As for cleaning, I haven't found them any harder to clean than any other stainless steel pans. If I really manage to gunk one up, I'll either just run it through the dishwasher or soak it. If it starts to look a little discolored, I hit it with Bar Keepers Friend.
I cant like this comment enough. BKF is basically required for stainless cookware and I've been such a fan of demeyere cookware also. Belgian made and even better than all clad. Far from cheap but also far from cheap.

I think this set is great and good price, but possibly too many cookwares. I own similar $500 Triple Clad Cuisinart French set, but I don't use clad Frypans and Dutch Oven anymore because I find Cast Iron ones are better for us. I paid too much for several Sauce Pans...

Does this mean the parts could be made in china and then it is assembled by in brazil? Never heard of the term "component country".

All clad is definitely American, but comes at a hefty premium. I have a single d3 pan and it rocks.

Possibly Korea or China. Our Cuisinart French set is made in France, but I don't think there is any difference between Chinese Cuisinart and ours, except a little more fancy finish.

Per the manufacture reply in the reviews from Sams Club website:

"This one has a 6-Quart Deep Sauté and is Made in Brazil. The 80116/568DS had a 5-Quart Deep Sauté and was Made in China. Please feel free to contact us at [email protected] if you have additional questions. Thank you."

I've also used BKF on my enameled cast iron cookware. It works pretty good there, too.

Gonna give this set a try. Been waiting for a deal on the All Clad stock pots for some time now. Don't think they're going on sale....

You can ask them. They seem to be pretty responsive. Please update us if you do, though.

I have the exact same one, but made for sams club. I bought it in 2018 when it hit clearance and my store had it for 100$, later price adjusted to 80$ total. This is the link to the deal - https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/11189127

Best cookware deal I ever snagged. The set has so many components for the price and the pieces are on the bigger side. This allows me to batch cook while still being able to give space to ingredients to get sauted and not get steam cooked, things like that.

I also have cuisinart multi clad pro set and find it to be thicker and deeper than these. abd cuisinart has flared edges on all pieces, not just smaller pans. But these are more wide open and better sized for sautéing of which I do a lot. I don't like the straight lip around the edges in some of these, it is not a deal breaker though. Because it is thinner than my cuisinart, the canola oil does form a thin golden brown burnt film on the edges with extensive sauteing sessions which goes away with a bit of scrubbing with BKF and elbow grease or boiling the pan in vinegar and water and then quick scrub.

Good set priced aggressively. Often cuisinart multi clad pro goes cheaper than this. And if you want more solid built and flared edges over wider spread and bigger pans, I'd wait for those. For me this was a no brainer at 80$.

Hope it helps.

100% the flared edges on cuisinart mutliclad are a big extra on top of them often being less expensive. I will also say I think the 8" saute pan and steamer insert are basically filler items nobody really uses. That being said, for the price this is still a decent deal and could be nice as a gift or a starter/medium level set.
