Always the people that need to justify their money spent in these listings.

I own a 65in LG OLED, and a 55in Samsung Q80R.... Both last year's top TVs for price and performance... And I still use the Hisense 65in I got last year for $240 and I have no issue with the 50in ONN I bought for $100 as well.

Budget 4K are pretty damn good from Septre, ONN and the like... People praise TCL and forget people talked trash about them as well... Same thing for Vizio.

Even more interesting is a lot of budget sets use 2nd tier Samsung VA panels that actually look better than the entry level LGs with poor contrast.

man... $228 for a full array led 4k 65" TV shipped free. Imagine seeing these deals 10 years ago, you'd hardly believe it.

That's why I love my free LG 49in 4ktv. It's better than all these brands listed here.
did that make you feel better to brag about your free TV? what was the point of that here? size insecurities? Sure you have your free brand name TV, but its only 49"

trying to talk yourself that you dont need bigger

well you always need bigger. ask all the ladies

I took a chance on a 58" Hisense Roku for $238 with a Google Home Mini from Best Buy last year. It's been great. I would steer clear of Onn and Element.

Hisense bought the Sharp name a few years back, but may have lost the name. They sponsored the 2018 World Cup... I'm guessing quality only going to get better, but you can't beat these 4k smart TVs for the money, even if they last only 4-5 years. (Who knows how long with so much of them cheap plastic and led backlighting). I still have Panasonic plasmas with glass screens....they weight a ton in comparison, but have much more structure.
you talk about a different brand(s) not even trying this brand, then proceed to say steer clear of it?

come on bruh.

All the brands you mention are cheap crappy brands. But it doesnt mean they dont work as advertised. They all will work, and sure QC prob wont be as great as more expensive, but the risk is low and reward is high so why not.

And you and others talk about cheap feel material etc. And again bruhs its only $228 for 65" 4K. And what are yall doing to warrant a more sturdy TV. Most people just set it and forget it. With little physical interaction with the TV after that. Cheap build or whatever, its not going to break by casually shaking it and moving it. People arent going to go to your house shake the tv and say "yep platic cheap build etc"

What if the Smart TV gets hacked in time as the updates taper off?
Who is minding the shop (mfg wise)?
Being hacked means network attacks from inside the router safe zone.

omg the people in this thread complaining about a $228 4K 65" Smart TV.

wtf are you guys expecting for $228? Damn the way some of yall complain is like yall expect OLED 85" for this price.

Yall are the biggest trolls.

And those who say youll be replacing your tv in a year lol. Then if that happens, you got the amount of time the TV was worth--but that is not likely to happen as many of these no name cheap brand TVs last for years. Sure you hear a few horror stories, but you dont hear the HUNDREDS maybe THOUSANDS of sets that are fine.

Heck, if it breaks in 2-3 years after heavy use, that means I got my money's worth and in 2-3 years, they will be selling 85" 4K 120hz native smart TVs for $228.

I have a crappy westinghouse 4K TV from 2 years ago 55" 4K smart TV that was like $228 as well, and there is no reason for me to replace it because it works fine but deep down im hoping it breaks so i can get this as a replacement because I got my money's worth.

This is a great f-ing deal if you need a TV now, dont care about brand or all the mumbo jumbo quality numbers the nerds here try to shove down your throat and them trying to persuade you to join them since they paid 2, 3, 4, 5, 6x more for their set and want to feel good that their TV that cost more is so much better. Many of those same people buy those expensive sets and only using the tv speakers or a sound bar lol. Only take av geeks who run a true av receiver setup with their properly calibrated OLED tv seriously. But at the same time those guys dont seem to settle for anything less. So as someone who falls in between, buy this tv if you need one
Are you for real that heated about other people's opinions? Go step in a Walmart and see one for yourself. Absolute trash tier.

it's always funny when these folks come out of the wood work: "But my $2,999 samsung feels and looks so much better, thumbs DOWN!"

it's <10% of the cost. Honestly if it lasts 3 years and your samsung lasts 10 years, this is still cheaper per year by far. Also, you could get another $250 in 3-4 years which will probably be better than your currently valued $3k samsung. Technology moves fast and this is moving at the speed of computers. Next gen tvs will have video games built in (probably via Roku), more advanced Roku features and what not.

Get this tv, use it 3 years, move it to your garage or kids room and spend another $250 getting another one. Note: my TCLs Roku tvs have been running 5+ years without any issues. Also you could craigslist your tv for like $100 in a few years...

Fair comment, I bought Toshiba 50" from BB On Prime Day for $280. I picked it up from BB vs buying it cheaper at $260 from Amazon shipped (by, surprise, BB). I wanted to ensure the unit stayed vertical all the way home.

In a couple of years I will get OLED. Finally an emissive pixel like good old plasma.

I wonder how many poor people in the third world were in danger of starvation because you shut down the world's largest economy over an election.
lol, if people had masked up and resisted partying for 2 months, this would all be over, like it is for other countries who listened to science. Do half arsed things and get half arsed results.

Oh you, don't think that was possible? Then we both know now who is too blame. Because we have empirical evidence that it is and we didn't do it. Or do you think American's breed their geniuses to shop in Walmart two times a week? LOL

Pretty sure ONN are rebranded hisense TVs.

Prob the 2020 version of 65R6E. Would make this a damn good deal.
