Always the people that need to justify their money spent in these listings.

I own a 65in LG OLED, and a 55in Samsung Q80R.... Both last year's top TVs for price and performance... And I still use the Hisense 65in I got last year for $240 and I have no issue with the 50in ONN I bought for $100 as well.

Budget 4K are pretty damn good from Septre, ONN and the like... People praise TCL and forget people talked trash about them as well... Same thing for Vizio.

Even more interesting is a lot of budget sets use 2nd tier Samsung VA panels that actually look better than the entry level LGs with poor contrast.

man... $228 for a full array led 4k 65" TV shipped free. Imagine seeing these deals 10 years ago, you'd hardly believe it.

I don't have this TV, but I bought the $250 Hisense 65" last week and the picture and sound are both excellent.
This Onn TV is made by Hisense and it appears to be very similar, except this TV runs Roku and the Hisense runs Android so I hope it looks and sounds just a good.

Did you order this ONN tv as well?

So they are basically both the same, but one is $228 with Roku and the other is $250 with Android?

Onn is a Walmart brand, after a few weeks you should have gotten corporate Walmart involved and they would have replaced the whole monitor Im sure. Its not reasonable to make a customer wait months without a functioning product.
Generally my experience with corporations suggest that's not the case as they tend to push responsibility to the other company, but I didn't even THINK of talking to WM (doh!) So I will start that ball rolling via email and see if anything happens (don't want to play phone shuffle at the moment) In my experience at the end of the year wait, the insurance will refund me for the amount spent on the monitor and have me keep it, but having to wait a year is less than ideal when you're talking a 65" tv that fails vs a monitor that required me to use my own stand so felt like venting/warning any people on the fence. It's truly a fantastic deal, and if they hadn't managed to have the worst CS I've ever dealt with (and I've bought HP and gateway products over the years!) I would have picked up one of these TVs as a secondary tv.

Edit: I emailed Walmart including PDFs of the pair of tickets here is their response only at it is I removed the first line which included both my name and the associates. Basically it is as I expected. Possibly if I emailed corporate earlier I may have gotten a refund through them but I would be extremely hesitant to buy any ONN electronic product and hardly suggest anyone buying one test the holy hell out of it for the 30-day return... (Again the warranty will not do anything until the entire manufacture warranty has expired (1 yr for onn in this case)

appreciate your patience through this process and thank you so very much for sending that information over, it was a huge help!

After thoroughly review your account and review all the information. I've requested assistance to provide you the best resolution, unfortunately since this was an order from January the system is not allowing me to make any changes on this, as a refund or replacement, the item is out of stock as well.

Fortunately, you can contact https://www.walmart.com/tp/squaretrade to make a claim since you have a protection plan on this order.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience, and we immensely appreciate your comprehension towards this situation.

eesh.....the 55" i bought a couple weeks ago fit at an angle, but the lady loading it in wasn't happy because "it needs to be upright". blah blah. I have a '16 4runner (not purchased from a slickdeals deal FYI. Stick Out Tongue) It is a LOT of TV at 55. Dunno yet about 65. Am worried though. Also probably not going to cancel the 65 anyhow.

They're both manufactured by Hisense, but I suspect the the Onn model is stripped down and a worse model. For one, I don't see any mention of HDR10 or Dolby Vision support like the Hisense one. I also don't see any mention of DTS Virtual:X for the speakers.

Walmart doesn't provide enough information on this model, but usually Dolby Vision and HDR10 are things you headline if your TV supports it.

I suspect Hisense removed the certifications for the Onn brand so they could meet Walmart's price point.

If you don't care about things like Dolby Vision, HDR10 or DTS Virtual:X, then it's probably the same otherwise. I really enjoy Dolby Vision and it looks great on the Hisense so I can't imagine buying a new 4K TV without support for it.

I mean at this price point 4k isn't much to go on honestly. I got one for my Parent's living room and the 42 or 43in one for my Mom's room. She had my older 720p 37in Vizio TV, and the living room has my older 50in 1080p BF TV. All works without issues, and they don't seem to see the need for a higher price TV. So I would assume most people would be too if they're looking at this one, or similar priced one.

I'm just telling you the differences and what they stripped out to meet this price point. If all you care about is that it's 65 inches, then it won't matter.

Personally, I would gladly pay the extra $22 for those features but if you don't care about them then the Onn is a fine basic 4K TV.

I know that the 65" Onn made by Hisense is decent for the price. But the 42" Onn made by Element is questionable since there is pretty much no information available.

42" Onn made by Element according to Consumer Reports: https://www.consumerreports.org/t...t-onn-tvs/ [consumerreports.org]
Do you spend the $10 a month on consumer reports?
