Box dimensions
Anybody know the box dimensions?
onn. 42" Class FHD (1080P) LED Roku Smart TV [walmart.com] will be $88 on Nov 4th too.
The model seems to almost identical to Hisense H6570G: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/h6570g
Now that the sale is over, Walmart has taken down the original link.
But they still have another page with what appears to be the same TV here.
Good if you want to examine the specs.
This appears to be a slight older Hisense H6570F model while the BlackFriday model is H6570G. The newer H6570G has better upscaling and Chroma 4:4:4 for computer usage.
onn. 65" Class 4K (2160p) UHD LED Roku Smart TV HDR (100012587) [walmart.com]
No box dimensions found, but product dimensions are listed as:
11.60 x 57.30 x 35.10 Inches
These cheap TVs tend to have fairly minimal packaging.

I own a 65in LG OLED, and a 55in Samsung Q80R.... Both last year's top TVs for price and performance... And I still use the Hisense 65in I got last year for $240 and I have no issue with the 50in ONN I bought for $100 as well.
Budget 4K are pretty damn good from Septre, ONN and the like... People praise TCL and forget people talked trash about them as well... Same thing for Vizio.
Even more interesting is a lot of budget sets use 2nd tier Samsung VA panels that actually look better than the entry level LGs with poor contrast.

As for lighting, there are currently three types used on televisions: Edge Lit, Full Array, and Direct Lit—and what you see on your screen is directly impacted by which type of lighting your TV uses. As you may have guessed, Edge Lit TVs use lights along the perimeter of your TV, while Full Array televisions have multiple zones throughout the display and, and Direct Lit TVs, like Full Array TVs, have LEDs placed throughout the back of the television (but fewer of them)..... meaning you'll have what amounts to a generic local dimming.... so you won't have huge blubs of white chasing around on a black screen.... Likely the reason they were able to pass Dolby Vision certification. https://www.lg.com/us/experience-...full-array [lg.com]
I was one of the people who ordered when the TV deal first opened up
Weird all three of them spec No Bluetooth. The confusing one spec sheet is the H6500F, which says no Bluetooth in specs, but then:
"Bluetooth
The H6500F is music to your ears—and eyes—thanks to built-in
Bluetooth™ connectivity. This universal, invisible technology
expands your entertainment options by wirelessly connecting a
compatible soundbar, speakers or stereo components to your
TV. From movie soundtracks to your favorite playlists, your TV
can amplify every experience while eliminating unsightly cords."
Really confusing as that info is direct from Hisense.

NOne of the 3 possible Hisense/Onn's have local dimming. The 2019's have DLED. . .which is not the same as Full Array aka 2020 models, if this ONN even has Full Array. Looks like the box says DLED.
And DLED doesn't come close to generic local Dimming, Full Array "could" come closer
Again, not bursting your balloons as much as bursting the hopes of a full fledged 2020 Full Array, Dolby VIsion, Hisense identical twin. And I bought one of the Onn's so I was hoping the best

And yes I should have also grabbed the BB Hisense for $250. Just wasn't in BF mode at that point. lol
Probably going to cancel this Onn order. Probably order the Target TCl to find out which corners have been cut there as well vs. a non BF TCL.
Will probably then cancel that order and wait for BF week deal or Dec. 26th. . .it's not for a present. My bedroom Sony Bravia 65" LCD which I loved so much crapped out last month and had to sub in an 50" Sammy short term. . .

I understand cause two of my toes have gotten cold. Still, what does a 228 or 250 65' tv suppose to do? I also read the "full array" and thought (after doing research) yea that sounds like a new 2020 panel!! To me both have a "returned" 2019 Hisense refurb feel, mainly cause that unit got sooooo many returns.
I'm a value shopper at heart and have enjoyed my 2016 H9 Hisense. Again going to hope for the best expect the worst and have until Tuesday 10th-12th to figure this out. Part of me is like "UHD 65 in for 228 plus tax!!!" The other part is I want either a TLC 5-6 series or Hisense H8G-H9G...I have not seen any of those listed as BF deals.....I doubt any would come close to 300$ for 50in, much less 65in.
Hope slick dealers send help/research help like they always do, cause I need it.
