Always the people that need to justify their money spent in these listings.

I own a 65in LG OLED, and a 55in Samsung Q80R.... Both last year's top TVs for price and performance... And I still use the Hisense 65in I got last year for $240 and I have no issue with the 50in ONN I bought for $100 as well.

Budget 4K are pretty damn good from Septre, ONN and the like... People praise TCL and forget people talked trash about them as well... Same thing for Vizio.

Even more interesting is a lot of budget sets use 2nd tier Samsung VA panels that actually look better than the entry level LGs with poor contrast.

man... $228 for a full array led 4k 65" TV shipped free. Imagine seeing these deals 10 years ago, you'd hardly believe it.

So this 65" onn. TV is made by Hisense
I did search with the model #100021261 and below came up

https://hisense.encompass.com/model/HIS100021261

So Roku version of the Best Buy Hisense 65H6510G

https://www.displayspecifications...8fd8164321

This unit nothing to do with Funai.
Hisense is Chinse company and their US HQ is in Suwanee, GA
Yes we all know at this point it is manufactured by Hisense. Hisense has a factory in Mexico that they bought from Sharp in 2015. This TV was likely made in the same factory.

We are just comparing the quality and what Walmart stripped out for their Onn series. We already have confirmation they don't support Dolby Vision. It also doesn't have the two feet positions like the Hisense units. What else? What else did they have to strip out for $22? laugh out loud

So this ON is stripped off Dolby vision and Two feet position. Do The Target TCL 65 inch version has those features? A target near my area is showing that they have one for sell.

Received my notification this morning to pickup my holiday pickup item at my local Walmart from 12-4PM. I confirmed at 11:45 that I was on my way and I looked up the location on the app and it showed what corner of the parking lot to go to. Once I arrived there I followed the signs and parked in one of the numbered stalls. Opened the app and it used location services to detect that I was at the pickup location and it asked me what number I was parked in. I plugged in the number and in less than a minute someone confirmed my identity and pickup and in another minute or two came back out with the TV on a cart. Two respectful young ladies helped to load it into the back of my Jeep Cherokee and as they finished I offered them a cash tip and they politely declined informing me that it was against policy to receive gratuities. I insisted and they stood firm and wished me a happy holiday. I returned the well wishes and closed up the Jeep and was on my way.

The TV itself was well packed, four quick release latches and the outer shell slid right off leaving the TV on a base standing upright. I attached the two feet, moved it into place, plugged it in, and I was off to the races.

It replaces a 50" Panasonic Plasma from 2004 and it completely blows it away in every regard. For $228 it is an absolute steal. I was prepared for a Chinesium piece of garbage and would've been happy with it as a $228 lesson, but I am absolutely elated by what I got for the money.

Edit: It's definitely a Hisense, in fact, my Tivo remote was programmed against a Hisense and it works fine with it.

From what I can tell the only real difference between the two is roku vs Android tv, Onn only supports DTS and the TCL Dolby Digital plus. The TCL has HDMI Arc. Not sure about the ONN. My Sony Surround sound only supports Dolby Digital Plus and not DTS so I went with the TCL.

My ready for pickup email yesterday said I had to pick it up by 8pm today. Got another set of ready to pickup emails this morning that said I had until Wednesday 12th to pick them up (got the 42" as well).
I'm in the same exact boat. I don't think I'll be able to pick up today so was a little bummed out, but the email this morning said to pick up by November 11th. Guess we'll see what happens before now and then!

I am going to pick up my order this week. Should I get the extra 3 or 4 yr protection plan?
I never did in the past but the Toshiba 65" I got from BB for $650 in 2016 died 4 months ago.

Those TV usually sell for $300 ~400. If I can cover $10 for a year, this might worth it?
Any idea?

Last week I purchased a Hisense 50" TV at Costco. The box and spec sheet says it supports Dolby Vision HDR10 HDR 10+ however when I watch Jack Ryan on Prime it says 'HDR'.

Something wrong? Has anyone verified Dolby Vision comes up on Jack Ryan?

Is it just me or do the reviews for 2020 TVs seem much worse than usual? ... Did all TVs go downhill or are people being more critical (as they are watching more hours on TVs)?

the sound
picture failure
cheap legs, even breaking of legs on some LGs
a lot of reviews are saying the 2019 models were better quality etc.
It's just you.... in one year nothing can get that much better or that much worse. I suspect people are living in the past and can't believe how good that first ever 65 inch TV seemed compared to their 5-10 year old 40" technology.

I think the TCL is a better choice. TCL supports HDR10 at least which is the competing standard to Dolby Vision so it's "on par" so to speak. I looked at the manual and the TCL only supports one stand position (page 5).

So for the $250 65" BF HDTVs this year I would go

Hisense > TCL > Onn

TCL is a very good choice otherwise though. Dolby Vision support depends on your preference. See the quick chart I got from rtings to help you decide if it's important to you or not.

Hisense will likely come back in stock during BF, but if you can get the TCL might as well get that one now.

EDIT: I just realized my Hisense also supports HDR10 + Dolby Vision.

Considering 65inch Hisense from BB also includes free shipping, that one might be better deal imo

For everyone who has picked up their tv already, the legs are confirmed to be 50 inches apart with no other tv stand position, correct?

Y'all talk about HDR/Dolby Vision like it actually matters for TVs in this price range. It's like how it has DTS surround on it's two 8 watt speakers, it doesn't make a difference.

For sake of fairness in comparison the Hisense was also $20-30 more expensive depending on your local tax and or whether you use Red Card

The surround sound made a big difference on the new bedroom TV, someone knocked on the door in a show and I asked my wife to answer our front door! IDK about HDR/Dolby Vision but if it's available, why not get it?
