Anybody know the box dimensions?
onn. 42" Class FHD (1080P) LED Roku Smart TV [walmart.com] will be $88 on Nov 4th too.
The model seems to almost identical to Hisense H6570G: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/h6570g
Now that the sale is over, Walmart has taken down the original link.
But they still have another page with what appears to be the same TV here.
Good if you want to examine the specs.
This appears to be a slight older Hisense H6570F model while the BlackFriday model is H6570G. The newer H6570G has better upscaling and Chroma 4:4:4 for computer usage.

These cheap TVs tend to have fairly minimal packaging.

I own a 65in LG OLED, and a 55in Samsung Q80R.... Both last year's top TVs for price and performance... And I still use the Hisense 65in I got last year for $240 and I have no issue with the 50in ONN I bought for $100 as well.
Budget 4K are pretty damn good from Septre, ONN and the like... People praise TCL and forget people talked trash about them as well... Same thing for Vizio.
Even more interesting is a lot of budget sets use 2nd tier Samsung VA panels that actually look better than the entry level LGs with poor contrast.

forgetting about Android vs. Roku
just noticed the Onn. was made in Mexico, that might win it for me.

I mounted the Onn. first. The picture is awesome; the quick access settings on the side really let you see its capabilities. Also blown away at how seamless the Roku system is...I like it more than my Roku Ultra.

Why do I need help? Because I literally read all 1000 comments and have no idea if I made a mistake purchasing this specific TV due to the various opinions.
Before I begin, I currently have a Vizio from 2007 and am pretty confident that if I keep the TV the picture will be better. I also quite aware that the TV is a little over $200 and understand it's a great value. It's just that I also want to make sure I am buying something of value that will fit my minimal needs. One of those things is the best possible experience when I'm watching Disney + and Netflix.
I read the TV apparently doesn't support Dolby.
is this a big deal? Will I notice the difference? Just want to make sure I'm not making a bad decision.

If you are talking audio Do you have a surround sound speaker setup? If not then you wouldn't benefit from Dolby surround sound anyway. If you do, check to see if it using Dolby or DTS.
However, the same tv, is IN STOCK at my local store for free shipping and/or same day pick up.
But the chat reps (i went through two supervisors) wouldn't budge letting me pick up in store. They pulled the whole "this is a different model" as someone else pointed out. It's really the same tv...the "model" for the sale, only meant it was for sale at the discounted price.
I asked the rep to explain to me the differences...of course they couldn't tell me. But they would not budge on letting me pick it up in store.

I purchased 2 units. 1 of them is defective.
Using the same settings on both TV produced an extremely different image. I was going to post my color settings, but i fear that it'll probably help no-one and will make things worse.
This just speaks to the quality control. I have a colorimeter and the technicals to make any TV NOT SHIT, but I could not calibrate my first unit with bonkers gamma tracking at all, the blue color channel would form a jagged saw pattern across the entire range..
The second unit I tested works fine out of the box. Still needed alot of fine tuning, but at least it responds,
The Panels are C-grade much like the TCL 4 series.
On the first unit, I had dead pixels/ subpixels and Mura-defects. On the second unit, I didn't find any dead pixels, but There was still quite noticable Mura. Dirty screen is a TYPE of mura-defect. But there are many.
Between ONN and tcl 4 series, it's a toss up. If you get a good unit, it's all dandy. But if you get a bad one, I suggest you get the wife to look at it, Women are typically more sensitive to Color. Use her guts on whether to keep the panel .
Test a very dark grey, set windows background to a dark solid grey color, check medium red/green/blue (for malfunctioning pixels).
Check black for light leakage, but you have to put a large white box on the screen, because the auto-dimming can not be disabled when there is a majority black element on the screen. The auto-contrast setting does not disable the dimming entirely.
Hacktip, Iphones have very good gamma tracking. display a gamma ramp on the ONN and the iphone. If the ONN gamma ramp has alot of random color cast on what should be a GRAY Gradient, then you know this unit has problems. If the gamma ramp is extremely uneven, you'll have to decide how bad it is.
