I've read quite a lot of issues about this hinge style; you end up with a 2 in 1 within a year.
The 3 year extended warranty at $79 or 2 year extended warranty at $54 are probably good deals, then. Even the 3 year warranty would bring the price to just $528+tax, and if it breaks in year 2 or 3, you can probably expect them to replace it with a newer laptop as this one will have been long discontinued.

I dont think ive ever seen a laptop with discrete graphics at this price
This is the replacement updated deal for this walmart HP from a couple years back. This is obviously faster slightly and slightly cheaper.

Here;s the benchmark for those who wants to know how much improvement over the old one:

New: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/33931267
Old: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/13500527

I might give it a test drive. It's not a huge performance upgrade by any mean over the old one. But if you need a decent fast cheap desktop replacement with two 4K60hz video output and a cheap low end discrete graphic, this is basically the one you want to get.

Jesus that thing is ugly .
Actually, I have the 16.1 version and it's surprisingly low key and very sleek in person. It barely stands out as a gaming laptop.

Anything around that's a similar entry level gaming laptop with a touchscreen? Was able to pick up one open box for ~$500 a few years back for my son and am looking for something similar for my daughter for this holiday season. With a touchscreen would have jumped in this for even a bit more.
You will not easily find a gaming laptop with a touch screen, they pretty much don't exist.

Less than 75wh it will suck.. worse if you use the gaming card.. I get 1:35 with the Acer nitro an515-44-r99q 57wh battery for example. Takes about an extra 35-45 mins to charge back up than usage time for reference (typical with most laptops). Big batteries are usually in expensive laptops 800+..

Should I return it and wait for this one? Gaming isn't my concern but upgradeable ram would be a nice to have
It really depends on what you need. You can upgrade the RAM on your current one but you'd have to swap it out instead of just adding to it. Yours is lighter and the battery will last so much longer.

This deal will be much better for gaming and video editing. But, it is heavier and will chew through batteries like candy. It's best kept plugged in.

So the question is, which fits your needs better? Lighter and better battery life or better video performance?

Very very helpful. Thanks. Lighter and better battery is def. my preference so i guess i will stick with what I have..for $450,..think this was a bargain. Can you elaborate on your point abt being able to upgrade soldered ram? Where can i find those modules?

Lol you need 100 TB of storage minimum, there's already 600 PB (Petabytes) on the main net, no way you can mine Filecoin. But I heard Digibyte is good starter coin to mine
