I used a coupon code that I found (I did not go through either of the prohibited links) because the offer did not exclude the usage. However I did not receive the credit. I contacted AMEX and they said I didn't meet the terms, so beware.

It was the Fall30 coupon, fyi.

As a former wine collector/trader/flipper, I tried the Martha Stewart wines a while back (also on Amex promo)...they were hands down the worst wine club wines I've tried...I think we dumped 90% down the drain.

FWIW, Virgin Wine Club was excellent.

In looking at Virgin's selections, I see almost 90% are bulk wines with very few, if any, actual awards won. Here in California, wine clubs buy in bulk, contract with a vintner, create a label, and promote the wine. Now there is nothing wrong with that, but do know it's lower end wine at prices above what some reading and shopping at a large company like Total Wine, Bevmo, etc or Trader Joe's where their house labeled wine goes through a tasting committee before they put their name on it. If one is ever in N. California, visit Amador, El Dorado, Placer, or Calaveras Counties or the Delta region for whites. These areas are producing equal or dare say better wines than traditional Napa/Sonoma and kill them on price, tasting experience (free tastings, no lines, no traffic, and no snobs). If you purchased based on awards, look for wineries that entered the Orange County competition where a bronze there is better than a gold medal winner from just about everywhere else. The wine tasting experience in the mentioned counties is much fun as our foothills are never crowded, likely the owner and or the wine maker is on duty, almost all offer free tasting, and prices are great. Drink up!

I have chatted twice. They have escalated it a second time, but I don't have much hope. I am anxious to hear from anyone that actually gets the credit, and what they purchased.

I got a targeted email for $50 off 100 today only. Order 8 bottles that came up to right about 100 to trigger this plus I got the amex notice instantly. Out the door price worked out to about $3.17/bottle, not including cashback portal credit I hope to get.

Just curious, how did you pay? Through a PayPal linked amex card or direct with amex through their checkout?

edit: the reason I ask is I will try the opposite way and see if it triggers the reward. I will purchase 2 of the exact same items listed by OP with the 30% code.

Used it 2x on 2 different cards. Each was 60$ shipped for 6 bottles when all wines were on sale for $9.45 for Halloween. Ended up having 12 wines for 60$ after the CB. Emails were generated and credit posted in a couple of days. Thanks.

30% is actually one of the weaker discounts you'd find for this. A few weeks back I got a 50% promo that worked with this. Alternatively you can wait for there to be a flat rate bottle sale.
